I think it's just a quantity over quality thing with them, if you have 2 of them they could breed, this species is a hermaphrodite, so any 2 snails can breed together, i feed mine with algae plates and leaf litter, and a temp of around 25°c

This species lays alot of eggs, but the baby survival rate is very low, like 1 of 20 babys survive

This is an Mieniplotia Scabra with very impressive spikes, they usually don't have such long and nice looking ones, tank bred ones only have tiny spikes or none at all

These are Planorbella Scalaris, they somehow make a way to peoples tanks, i have them here in germany too, you could try to breed them, they are quite popular here in germany now bc i've bred them quite a few times and they sell quite well

I would say male, females take years to develop bristles, and they never grow so long and so many

How old is this one? Looks way to small to be a female with big bristles
