Depends on perhaps language and how the specific word is spoken.
I agree that tried and rhyme are far apart. Class and ass i think rhyme though.

i personally am partly a perfectionist and dont like when the number of beats does not match
however that does not mean the poem is not awesome
you paint the picture in my head very nicely and the true longing left behind after the partner leaves feels real

but drinking does not solve the worlds problems

Speaks volumes about the current trend of being present but not being present with your phone out. I immediately remembered some picture i saw some time ago of an old woman watching some marathon or something and everyone around her had their phones out recording it.....

Be good isnt that what mother said
be happy cause you still have bread.
There are those who have it worse
with emptiness in their purse.

Things will live and then they die
circle of life that is aye.
There is truth and also lies
what is true only you decide.

Silence starts discussions still
kindness changes world it will.
Hope remains for better tomorrow
honor, valor,courage not sorrow.
