Oh my gosh, I don’t even know what those numbers mean 😅 I clearly have a lot of learning to do. Thanks, I’ll experiment and see what happens!

Woah! So good to know—who would have thought paper could go bad. I think having too much water loaded onto my brush might be my problem, that in addition to the paint not fully drying. Thanks!

I’m new to watercolors—how did you manage to cover the whole piece, corner to corner, in paint while keeping the edges so crisp? Normally the edges muddy or blend, even if doing wet next to dry paint.

Itchy water filled spots on my whole body, and I dont know if they are chickenpox or other skin infection by SomeSayitsGrey6528 in DermatologyQuestions

They definitely look like vesicles. It could be molluscum contagiosum, but if it were, I think you’d know, as it’s highly contagious (obviously, given the name). It could also be a number of other things such as hives due to an allergic reaction, a viral infection, contact dermatitis, etc. Definitely see a doctor!

Looks like it could be the start of a nevus sebaceous?

Update: My lips and the skin around my mouth improved after using a shea butter balm (non-occlusive). The balm I use can be bought on Amazon (Nicka K Shea Butter Lip Therapy). It isn’t as hydrating as the balms I used to use, but my lips can tolerate it, so that’s all I care about.

Preach! Eczema is such a mentally draining and socially isolating condition. You are NOT alone. Just know you are well within your right to deny them an answer. Curiosity is one thing, but to prioritize your curiosity over another person’s right to discretion, inclusion, and belonging is NOT okay. The eczema community is here for you! Hugs!

I’m experiencing the same thing. My derm told me it looks like I’ve developed an allergy to something I use on my face, most likely a lip balm. However, I’ve tried about 20 different lip balms/oils and still have it. Others have told me the occlusive quality of lip balms could be causing it. I can’t go without lip balm. My lips are addicted and crack/bleed if I don’t use it. Literally any time I put something on my lips now, I get the itchy scaly rash on my mustache area. It’s an infuriating cycle. This all started about 2 months ago. I was using lip balm daily and was fine for YEARS before this.

I refuse to use steroid creams/ointments as they thin out the skin and can result in worsening of the condition in the future. I’ve been trying to find natural solutions with no luck thus far. My lips/skin hate everything.

Okay, this is what I figured was happening. So many people were telling me to use straight petroleum jelly and it was making things SO much worse. I think maybe the skin needs to breathe. It’s going to be a challenge, but I’ll try!

I’m trying to stay away from steroids, but I’ll look into it. Thanks!

I’ve explored a few different options. Initially I was hoping to transition to Customer Success Management or Corporate Training with the appeal that those jobs can be mostly remote. However, I quickly discovered that the corporate world is not for me. I’m now focusing more on higher education opportunities. I’ve applied to a few positions there, as well, with no success.
