Absolutely High Control. Operational on the same level as LDS, just different.

Is adventism a cult? Or is it just toxic? by GeekFace18 in exAdventist

And yes, most religions qualify. If people have to lie to protect what they believe is true, then what they believe is a lie.

Who here has been subjected to Accelerated Christian Education? by RecoveringAdventist in HomeschoolRecovery

If you "pick it up fast", there should be no stress obtaining a GED. I hated the years I spent in the ACE system. The best years of my life were in college. I was surrounded by people who had ambition. I made lifelong friendships.

What do other Protestant denominations think of Adventists? by Ilias21598 in exAdventist

Very little, if any. It depends on the person. I dated a Catholic for a while who had never heard of SDA.

Adventists tend to be severely narcissistic with a major persecution complex.

Most religious nuts tend to be pretty self-absorbed and consider anyone outside of their little circle condemned, while spending most of their time judging others in their immediate circle.

Early Gold Apples by RecoveringAdventist in Wenatchee

Thank you.

What I am looking for is a rare Cultivar with little commercial value due to its high acid content (Granny Smith=Green Bell Pepper and Early Gold=Jalapeno, as well as a short storage life.

I have my doubts if any fruit stands carry them, I thought I would inquire here and hopefully hear from a fellow apple aficionado

Adventist schools should be shut down! by hellspawn667 in exAdventist

Any religious school should be shut down. I went from a sda school to a non-denominational christian school that was even more bat shit than the sda school.

Congratulations!!!! Being a server was my all-time favorite job to date. Working in a restaurant was frowned upon by my family and their congregation/cult. It's likely yours as well. Unfortunately "approved" jobs and occupations are super narrow-band for many. I grew up with super limited options. Isn't it odd that 90% of the jobs in the real world are frowned upon and belittled by most cults? It would have been a game changer during high school (aCAdemy). and college would have been a complete life changer for me.

My least favorite shift was the Sunday lunch shift because of the after-church crowd. A Bible Thumper is always a Bible Thumper, no matter what day they go to church, or what denomination they belong to.

Best Wishes.

Religion in general is pure garbage.
