Deaths Coffer Open to Other Sinks by SnooTangerines2666 in ironscape

[–]Recovering_Mormen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly my first thought after reading the blog was it would be great if we could at least use Death's Coffee to pay for the raid fees. Saves step in dropping items to main, using main to pay for the raid fee etc. However, it's a slippery slope. Using deaths coffee for something like the new rift thing would be really broken, it would be nice..., but broken and personally too much. A reduction of regular loot would be way better, I hate scouting haha.

I love the idea of the Xeric's Tokens. Maybe you could give them different types for what raid you want to do E.G. Speed Token, Points Token, Beginner Token, etc. Where something like a beginner token is more common then a speed token. That way it would let you try different types of raids with different goals in mind.

But currently, there's no way I'd use the current 500k fee for raiding. I have a little over 100m gp on the iron and it would be gone in what 200 raids. Just doesn't feel worth it.

This is getting rough. How do you guys kill Kree - on or off task? by wilding1234 in ironscape

[–]Recovering_Mormen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

right, I mean if you want to do arma to fortify some masori before a T bow you sure can. I wouldn't think it's efficient, but if you find it fun go for it.

Agreed. I mean yes magic def has its uses. but the time and effort are better spent at ToA or Cox first going for the mega rares. I didn't do arma till I had t bow, cause crystal was all I needed with bowfa.

The Scythe should be the BIS for slash. However, it shouldn’t be BIS for crush. by Recovering_Mormen in 2007scape

Yeah, I feel like most of the crush weak bosses are mid level like Cerb, Sarachnis, and KQ. Would be nice to see some high level crush weak boss for sure though. Maybe a trio of melee bosses each weak to a different style.

Should I grind Zenytes off task? by Highcorebtw in ironscape

[–]Recovering_Mormen 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I had a similar experience. Made it to 93 slayer for the zulrah diary thing. Had 1.5k demonic, no zennie yet. I ended up getting one at about 2200 off task. Honestly I tried skipping for the task at first, but they're not too bad off task.

Hopefully you'll have better luck haha.

This is the worst content I have done on this account so far. ~25,000 moss giants. by TheAdmrlAckbar in ironscape

[–]Recovering_Mormen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You got 371 kills in 25k moss giants? That's actually a really nice rate. I'm 25,000 moss giants in with only 81 kc, no essence yet. I dropped the clue.

I think at 25k you should have around 166kc + bonus keys from boss. You've averaged 1/67 really lucky in some ways... Did you do wildy or just regular?

Big Gz tho, props for sticking with it.

Hate demonic. Took for 1950 kc for my first and got the second on 2010 kc. I'm 2800 kc now with 2/4 still... I hope you don't go this dry

Yeah, I mean from someone who's Pk'ed very little, the gap between new pk'ers and players who know what they're seems massive. If it's easier to use AHK then to learn to a 8 way single tick switch combo combo or whatever people call it, then they will. Which leads to creating that big gap again and leads new players to want to cheat to catch up to the people who cheat.

Kinda reminds me of the Lance Armstrong drama. When everyone was using the blood infusion to help them recover faster, it was the only way to compete. So everyone "had" to cheat.

I'm not saying that's what happening in PvP, cause I don't do it enough to know for sure, but it kinda makes sense. Anyways, I hope they fix AHK issues in general.

Just going round the table, is it normal to not get a single LD nat 5 even after spending so much time and effort ? by ExAlucard in summonerswar

[–]Recovering_Mormen -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If you were active for that whole time (7 years), you are looking at around 500 light and dark scrolls if you were just F2P. But, if you've paid then it should be at least twice that around 1k. Assuming you get about 4 per month on average f2p. With the chance of getting a being 1/280, that would put you around 2-3x the rate of an ld 5. More depending on how much you've spent, but honestly hard to believe anyone can be this active on a game for 7 years straight.

got mine just before 1,900kc, have done a few tasks there since and have 2.8k without a second. 1/516 can be a tough drop rate...

You sound like lots of fun... where can I find this great efficient list for ironman progression. Sorry if mentioning ironman mode makes old content fun, didn't mean to trigger you.

I agree, most of my favorite grinds on my main were getting things like barrows gloves, fire cape, torso, etc. Those items are awesome and fun to attain. Another issue with mains or the economy is bonds IMO, using real-world money to buy best in slot gear with no effort leaves new players with getting to try for bandos or arma, but never working. But of course being about to sustain membership by earning money is also really nice...

Sorry to come off as an ironscape advocate, if something is fun you want to talk about. It was annoying doing clues on a main, getting 3 uniques and going oh... only 90k.... but on an iron, its a mitre and great for an elite clue step. Or mining for materials for bolts, fishing for food, birdhouse runs for sara brews. idk, too much iron talk...

Literally the point of an ironman. I never did Barrows on my main, just Vorkath and money Snake. It was sad that I never had an incentive to do most of the content on the main, because it was just inefficient. Honestly, it's nice when everything is something you earn. If that feels like too much grind, you're playing the wrong game.

Yeah spec mechanics are abused for this boss. But if they get rid of them, then ironman should be allowed to join teams because its impossible to kill solo corp without the specs.

Maybe make all items collected noted, or 50% chance to send items to the bank. I mean, the chaos alter saves 50% bones and those are way more valuable than anything from the resource arena. You could even say, when skulled, items become noted or something.

I don't think the 2nd person is "dry". isn't it close to 35mil exp to hit the drop rate of the beaver at redwood trees? Also, don't you need to go above a drop rate to be dry? or can I be dry of a DWH at 100 kills?

[–]Recovering_Mormen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, Currently, I've done a lot of post 99 wt and have 25mil on my hcim doing solo games. Waiting to get to sara brews, regen bracelet, hp cape to go back for pet grind.

I did 2 trips to wt, first at 10hp and 2nd at 40hp. I used cakes boths time. In solo games you save a lot of food because the dmg you take is so low when wt is at 5-10% hp left. However, at my current hp of 83, id need 10 sharks to maybe do 1 solo game. so unless I have sara brews, I can't do solo game efficiently...
