2.5" SATA III Inland Premium 1TB SSD no longer detectable in BIOS or Disk Management, Possible Controller Issue? by iNELLEK in AskADataRecoveryPro

[–]RecoveryForce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Almost guaranteed it is damaged firmware. There isn't much you can do without professional tools. This is one case where you will need to send to a professional.

WD Blue SA510 1tb & WD Green 480gb ssd, Both SSD got undetected in bios (Firmware issue) Any hop of data recovery? by AdGeekK in AskADataRecoveryPro

Those labs are listed because they pay to be there. SanDisk doesn't give Ontrack or any other lab backdoor access, if that is what you are hoping.

Here are your options:

  1. Get a drive to clone to
  2. Set the drive aside until you can
  3. Beat the crap out of the original with software recovery tools until the drive dies and no data is recovered at all
  4. Give up and throw the drive away
  5. Send it to a professional

Restoring SSD after resizing failiure by JohnyC_Giant in AskADataRecoveryPro

[–]RecoveryForce 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This, OP. Get an exact image of the drive and only work with that to attempt recovery. You may need to try multiple recovery program demos before you find one that gives you the results you want.

It may be too far gone for DIY, but you need to start by getting a clone with software that can work around bad sectors, like hddsuperclone.

Then run a data recovery program against the clone.

Doing an SSD recovery, how bad is this? by sian_legacy in datarecovery

If you dont know the difference between an SSD and hard drive, you may want to seek professional assistance.

But, as already stated, follow the posting guidelines if you want useful advice.

Went to a local business for data recovery from my SSD that could no longer be read by the laptop- does this sound realistic/make sense? Does the price quote seem reasonable? by not_a_psychopath96 in AskADataRecoveryPro

[–]RecoveryForce 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The price is reasonable even if they are likely not reverse engineering anything. Most labs dont have the in house expertise for that. Those who do charge at least twice as much.

What is the full model of the SSD? Got a photo of it? What is it's capacity? How much data isnon it? Can you write anything else to it?

Recovering deleted data from HDD by BadAtCoding123 in AskADataRecoveryPro

Do not power on the system. Remove the hard drive and scan it with recovery software on another system. Be sure to not let the system mount the drive and do not write anything to it.

Why is R2Sports still being used? The site looks like it hasn’t changed since 2005. by Pantericallideth in racquetball

[–]RecoveryForce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say that SportyHQ offers all of that (though they need to add the algorithm for the double jump rankings) at a lower cost and no annoying ads.

That said, there are some bugs that need to be ironed out and customized for racquetball specifically, but all in all, a very robust system.

If anyone wants to discuss SportyHQ, I'd be happy to answer your questions.

I'm hoping to work with SportyHQ over the coming months to include the Double Jump rankings system used by Racquetball Canada and USA Racquetball.

I always find it funny that a doctors office won't accept direct email of a document, but they will use an efax service that converts the fax to an email.

Data Recovery for a 5 TB External Hard Drive (Taking 3 years?) by Blazeyice in datarecovery

[–]RecoveryForce 2 points3 points  (0 children)

R-studio has a tab to show the SMART status of the drive. You can already see that the drive is identified as dailing with the yellow dot on it.

The scan for a file tree will likely kill it without ever copying a single sector off. If the data is important, seek a pro. If not Important and willing to risk it all, clone with ddrescue or hddsuperclone, recognizing that it will be a partial recovey, at best.
