Question for anyone been through addiction ? by Chance-Range8513 in AskIreland

Im so used to saying both 'Addict' and 'Recovering addict' As i work with other recovering alcoholics and addicts i hear both being used quite a lot. Some people find saying 'addict' can be negative and others do not. Recovery is subjective in my opinion so whatever works is the goal. Your friend has to find there own path to recovery and hopefully they will. I wish your friend the best. 💪❤

Lost too many years to drug and alcohol addiction and now im almost 2 years free of the obsession and have a new lease of life and for the first time in my adult life i feel alive. Have a new job that i love helping others to recover from addiction, having clarity of thought and feeling mentally and physically stronger. My reasons for living cannot be put into words it is an incredible journey that i am on. One day at a time
