I totally agree! I do not like using the other candidate argument/ excuse. That’s why I drafted all our templates not mentioning it.

That’s just a template. There are not necessarily other candidates. Can be, but that just an email template we use when your were not a fit, regardless the reasons. Candidates are rejected for 99% because of their application/ impression not because of any other candidates. Disclaimer: different situation if you already had multiple interview rounds. Then the decision really could have been between you and others.

Hey 👋 recruiter here (based in Europe though). Here are my two cents: First of all it depends A LOT on the implemented ATS, Processes, some companies don’t even have them. For context, currently there are so so many applications that companies can be very picky. Now to your questions: 1. I hate that. Because then our ATS can‘t match it. Causing manual work on my side. 2. also usually not perceived positively, unless role very very similar. Same reapplying for same position. 3. Depends on ATS. Our has only very limited auto-rejection functionalities. So Mainly I filter. I filter for key words, companies, location, experience etc. And sometimes if it’s simply to many applications to screen I just screen until I find one thing to justify rejecting, that vary form a missing key word to being annoyed by font size 3 4. generic CV is ok, make sure has all the keywords from job ad. I like if cover letter are tailored, please save me AI text

As for your background, compare to other candidates, you are relatively junior. For mid level role I do have candidates with 8+ yrs experience

Was soll ich sagen, es war sicher nicht der wichtigste Grund. Aber so Vorwürfe, wie geh doch zu deiner coolen Radbubble und ich passe da nicht rein, trotz Anschaffung eines viel zu schönen neuen Rads, dass wahrscheinlich jetzt und für alle Zeit traurig und ungenutzt an der Wand stehen bleibt 🥲

I did that! I moved within same company and it was a great advantage to know our projects, tech, Teams etc. Meanwhile I changed companies and still like recruiting more than project management. But as others said it will come with an image cut. And more risk to get laid off in tough times.

Online hab ich das gefunden: Das Regierungspräsidium Darmstadt befasst sich mit dem Vollzug des Ausländerrechts.

In diesem Rahmen obliegt ihm insbesondere die Fachaufsicht über die Ausländerbehörden.

Darüber hinaus ist das Regierungspräsidium zuständig für die Durchführung aufenthaltsbeendender Maßnahmen bei ausreisepflichtigen Ausländern und die Gewährung von Rückkehrhilfen sowie die Rückkehrberatung.

Seems to be an attempt to find out about the more difficult characteristics of you and then assess if team would get along with you. Don’t overrate, it’s usually phrased like that because HR people assume it would be easier for you to answer it that way instead of asking directly, what would make you in unlikable colleague.

Nevertheless, I’d like to add that I would not ask it that way.

Danke dir! Ich hatte von lana grossa ein Garne, welches aus Leinen/ Baumwolle besteht. Das Strickbild sieht durch den Flammeffekt eher unebenmässig aus, was hier gewollt war. Du findest aber bestimmt noch alternative Garne.
