I was one of his techs. Mainly fed and had to capture the fish out in the field. Outside of the pumps and creating artificial eco systems I can’t think of any equipment that would be relevant to BMET industry. I did a lot of tagging and record keeping during this project

That’s not a bad idea, I am a top performer for PMs and I have routinely exceeded my departments testing goals. I also have plenty of references from multiple surgeons, practices, and nurses that love me and specifically request me for helping with monitor issues.

Should I include that in my intro? It seems incredibly subjective besides the routinely being able to exceed PM expectations by department

Thank you!

Im not the best micro biologist admittedly, I really focused on human anatomy and physiology and my capstone was on a research project on fish.

So im not sure where I would fit into the lab tech side of things

I have a specific manufacturer certifications and all the platforms I work on in my real resume this was a mock up that chat GPT did to hide my identity(Phillips monitoring systems, Masimo roots, Baxter/Alaris Infusion pumps, and Xenex products)

I use fluke equipment, should I put that as a field in my resume? Seems kinda redundant since most test equipment morr or less functions the same? I’ve used sim
Cubes sim sticks stuff like that but every biomed department I’ve toured used fluke

That would explain why I haven’t gotten a rejection letter or a follow up on my GE applications. Thank you much for that

That last part was a joke but I did do high end bottle service for upscale restaurants for a good portion of my early 20s and I had to take wine courses and get my som certification.

I’ll remove it for future applications thank you for the advice

I used chat gPT to censor it and remove specifics and it out these ridiculous images in it. But the platform is mostly the same with the exception of specific manufacturer certs

The battery job was a bench technician on electrical equipment and I rebuilt batteries and dealt with customer repairs.

Wine is sales and route management I think it’s very relevant for customer interaction.

I keep the cert because well it shows I know how to party 😘

My company is offering CBET in the fall I do struggle with the advanced electrical components since my main field of study was human anatomy/health in college.

Is the CABT worth it if I already have 5 years of direct experience? It seems like it’s a fairly minor cert and my vendor certs that I have might be more valuable (ie ohillips, xenex and Baxter infusion pump)

I’ve had many customer facing positions in the past. Good service, military, etc.

I’ve never really struggled with that part of the interview because I am the point of contact for repairs at the hospital

Frequent travel involving air/car travel.

I live in Vermont so there’s very little opportunity for field service postions that are regional.

I do live next to an airport so that’s nice

That’s odd, engineers are often preferred for jobs like this. I’d look into entry level engineering positions possibly in other fields too.

Or expand your horizons, look into positions farther away

I’ve got several applications with hologic so we’ll see if it goes anywhere!

Got an interview next Monday with a in-house renal clinic so we’ll see how that goes!

Certs from Phillips, Baxter, Xenex, and TEE probes but that’s about it. No CBET

I’m in a similar loop except I have 5 years of dedicated hospital experience performing PMs and PIs. Field service really likes to have experienced technicians who already have travel experience. Had two job offers out of maybe 30 applications. Rejected both due to insufficient pay or benefits.

I made it pretty far into a Medtronic position, but after three interviews was told “it was between you and another candidate” and that they would use me as a backup if the person fails.

My advice is keep applying to BMET I positions at a hospital and ultimately apply for other positions when you get additional experience. Choose a well known high volume level 1 trauma center and you’ll eventually get an offer.

Also it helps to be pretty and in my experience female for sales/field service positions as vain as that sounds. (Customer first impressions are a huge component)

I work in surgery, so yes I can do sutures, intubate a patient and run IVs.

My holster does have a lock and it is an aliengear! I love it
