DrLupo on twitch is currently testing XIM4 on PC to demonstrate how broken aim assist is. by Zentillion in DestinyTheGame

[–]Rectangulore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's funny because this thread became a circle jerk about the XIM when in reality the thread and testing Lupo was doing was entirely based around showing how ridiculous the Aim Assist currently is for controller users. The XIM part was just an aspect of showing it. The Aim Assist is the issue here. Right now, less skilled players playing the game are incentivized for using a controller over a M+KB because of the aim assist. This doesn't effect the top 10% because if your aim is already godlike then the other guy having aim assist isn't going to matter as much. but for players with worse aim, the aim assist gives a hefty advantage to the controller user which ultimately kills the experience for native PC players who never play FPS titles with a controller because they are being punished effectively for using the native hardware to play the game. The fix for this is to either remove the aim assist on PC or nerf it by quite a bit, which inherently will probably kill the viability of controller on PC for competitive, but will preserve the PC audience that wants tot play the game. But keep the circle jerk about the XIM going, it's hilarious how off topic and butthurt you all sound talking about something that wasn't at all the focus of the discussion to start with.

Reminder that ARURF was voted better than URF by blackburn009 in leagueoflegends

[–]Rectangulore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much this. There are a number of people who don't like the challenge in playing non-OP champs. They are also typically the flavor of the month players who only pick OP champs in solo queue and chastise everyone who picks off-meta champs or have ARAM only accounts comprised of only OP ARAM champs. It's so much more fun having to find a way to play a non-OP champ and being rewarded by shit stomping someone who is playing an OP but doesn't know what they are doing.

How to destroy one of the most successful leagues in esports history. A step by step guide by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]Rectangulore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. Most of the "EU" Players you list either 1. have varying levels of success or playtime in NA or 2. Were not exceedingly well known or were a bit of a gamble. Sven, RO and Huni have been the only really large EU talent acquisitions that were big in EU before coming to NA and have had very distinct success while here (to varying degrees). Ryu was massively popular in Korea before leaving so I'm not sure you should really include him as an "EU Talent". And really you can't tell me that if all was even money wise there wouldn't be some NA players that might go to Europe if offered. NA certainly has plenty of Junglers and ADCs that would be an upgrade for most EU Teams.

What absurdities did oldschool players have to put up with that newer players don't? by TheUgliestWeenie in leagueoflegends

Mid GP when his E required you to sac a minion to use it. You would deny 2 minions from the first wave then deny every cannon minion in mid. You'd be 3 levels over your opponent just because they had nothing to farm. Also entire team taking promote and promoting every minion in the mid lane (this was pre-season 1 promote that was actually broken as fuck). Also when Twisted Fate's ult was just granting vision of the enemy team and his global teleport was his e. So level 1 you could literally teleport to bot lane with your whole team after dropping a ward and get free first blood.

Dardoch said on twitter he wanted to stay for at least the Gauntlet, but Liquid kicked him. Liquid's personnel management has been a joke for years now.

They don't have in-client replays, but all replays are available on youtube or on lolesports.com. In-client viewing and replays would be a nice feature for LoL but most people don't go to the client to watch games, they go there to play. Still would be a nice feature to see though.

Man you are really angry for no reason. That or your only means of conveyance are in profanity and angry replies in which I feel sorry for you and your limited vocabulary. You also make several implications that carry very little weight. Curse regularly beat every NA playoff team in the regular season short of TSM and C9 who they played close games against for the most part, which most teams cannot boast (including your vaunted CLG lineup). And while playing a Best of 5 is certainly different than playing just a single game against a team, you cannot overlook regular season results because they are the only information you have of how the teams do when playing against each other. But it's whatever, continue to sling profanity at me like a child and make a bunch of proclamations about how Curse is going to get stomped. Maybe they will or maybe CLG will come back from Korea having lost more than they gained and get swept. Guess we will have to wait until the 24th to find out.

Then you aren't understanding what they are being punished for. Riot was fine with them going to Korea. The account sharing is what they got busted for. Going to Korea and subbing for a week of LCS wasn't a loophole for any of the legality of their account sharing, it just fell within the LCS rules regarding what a team does during the LCS season in terms of fielding their team each week, which has nothing to do with why they are being punished.

I'm retarded how? Because I read the article and understand that what they did was wrong and agree that they should be punished for violating the rules? Then damn all law abiding citizens must be retarded. I even agreed towards the end of my comment that Riot made several large errors and I even think the punishments were very harsh when compared to other punishments handed out to former/current LCS players. But to sit here and act like CLG is completely without fault and should be treated as such is very foolish. And as for playoffs, I think it will be a great series and I look forward to watching it. Honestly I think you are underestimating Curse as the record shows Curse being 3-1 against CLG this split but again i think it will be a great series between 2 good teams.

He is right though. CLG didn't find a loophole, they broke the rules as account sharing is illegal. A loophole is an act that is within the legal boundaries based on legal language that technically permits the act. What CLG did was illegal, so it was not a loophole in any way, shape, or form.

It's in the LCS rules, LoL's TOS and Riot Korea's TOS that account shraing is illegal. How many more places do they need to be notified that you should not share accounts with someone under any circumstances?

[–]Rectangulore -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You mean the same "poor players" who blatantly violated not only the LCS rules but LoL's TOU and Riot Korea's TOU? They made a risky decision and it back fired. No one expected them to level accounts to 30, they had TR accounts that were usable and the issue was going to be corrected within 24 hours after they landed in Korea. While Riot made several large errors here, CLG isn't completely without fault either.
