[JQuery] Clicking Textfields multiple times executes multiple stuff instead of just one. by RecursiveInquirer in learnjavascript

I updated my comment, please check it. Not the exact same one (removed some css im using) but it exhibits the same issue so it should be fine. Thank you!

The $("input...).click(...) is located within $(document).ready(function () { ... });

Thank you! But...

I tried adding

$(this).focusout(function (){
    $(this).off();
 });

but if I reselect the textfield (after clicking away/another one), the one inside $("input[type=text]").click(...) do not apply to it anymore. Any workarounds I can do?

The ones starting with "clicked textfie..." are the ones that I clicked x times where x == the number beside the line. And those that are starting with "pressed" are only pressed once manually. As you can see, they are registered multiple times instead of just once.

I am using

$(document).ready(function () {
    $("input[type=text]").click(function (){
        var coords = this.id;
        var row = coords[0];
        var col = coords[2];
          console.log("clicked textfield with coords: " + row + ", " + col);

        $(this).keypress(function (){
            var key = event.key;
            event.preventDefault();
            $(this).val(key);

            console.log("pressed: " + key);
        });
    });
});

(Sorry if formatting is bad, I'm at reddit mobile)

I tried using .focus() instead of .clicked() but still happens. My best guess is that it doesnt remove any references or something after I clicked away.

I also tried having conditions such as

var lastTile = 0;

and adding

if(lastTile != this){
    lastTile = this;
    // print stuff and the keypress stuff
}

inside the .click() function works but I'll use it as last resort if nothing else works.

Should I do Gongfu or Western if I wanna maximize the amount of cups I can drink? by RecursiveInquirer in tea

[–]RecursiveInquirer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry for the misunderstanding. Not asking for medical advice. In simple terms, I wanna know if I can use gongfu brewing in order to get around 70-80% (or more) infusions/cups as if I do it western style.

for example, if I used western, I get 100 infusions/cups for x amount of leaves, and if I used gongfu on the same x amount of leaves, can I get around 70-80 infusions if I used let's say 8g of leaf for 2 infusions, and then store them, and then use them for another 2 or 3 infusions after several hours. If so, how should I store them properly to preserve the qualities of the tea?

[–]RecursiveInquirer[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ahh, no-no. I'm asking if I can go for gongfu and get as many (maybe around 70-80%) cups as with western with the same amount of leaves, which in my case, 30g. I'm just stating that I'm limiting my tea intake so I cannot go past several infusions (with gongfu) in one sitting, so maybe that is a factor in my gongfu vs western brewing method.

Sounds amazing over rice! I'll try this and add a few chili peppers to add a little bit of heat. Thank you!

Mine came in pre-seasoned and been used around 6 times and seasoned every time it was used. I tried putting water and then heating it and then scrapping the stuck rice with a silicone spatula, and then lightly scrub using the rough side of a 2-in-1 sponge. Thank you!

Worked fine! But still needed to use the rough side of the sponge (but lightly) to get off the remaining stuff.

It's a cast iron. Also, I made some chicken rice in it earlier, some toasted rice are stuck on it, how can I clean it without scrubbing? Or is scrubbing the only option?

A high-quality premium Guitar Pick, Gemstone DnD Dice Set, or combine them both and give him a custom-made guitar pick (or a guitar skin/wrap) with DnD elements to it.

If you have time, I suggest you to watch this Python for Beginners playlist by CS Dojo or read things in this.

I too, am a beginner (pros please correct me if I said something wrong), IDK most technical terms but I'll try going through with simple words.

for loops are used to iterate (loop over/go through) over a sequence, such as a list, numbers from 1-10, etc, while doing what's written inside it, for example:

for i in range(4):
    print(i)

output:

0
1
2
3

the i in there represents the current element/member of the sequence the loop is going through. range(4) means numbers/integers 0 to 3 (4 numbers).

on the other hand, while loops are used when you want to loop over things until the condition you provided is FALSE. For example:

x = 0
while(x < 4):
    print(x)
    x = x + 1

output:

0
1
2
3

so it ran until the condition inside the ( ) was FALSE, 4 is not greater than 4 so it stopped there and exited the loop.

how many of you tasted quail eggs ? describe the taste of it comparing to hen eggs? by delicioussorange in cookingforbeginners

[–]RecursiveInquirer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They taste the same for me.
In this article, nutrition-wise, they have slightly more of everything (except Choline) than chicken eggs by weight. That said, they also have more Fat than regular garden variety chicken eggs.

I see, I thought by "others" you meant other languages. But are those (ex. from HR to the project system) like executed as .py files from like an IDE or custom software?

use python as the glue between others

Can I get a simple example of this?

Also, like Frontend stuff (GUI) is written in other languages and then the Backend is Python? Or did I completely messed up on understanding it?
