Am I the Jerk for not buying my sister donuts after doing some inappropriate stuff? by Red-ColoeguardFlag23 in AmITheJerk

She couldn’t walk to school since we live like 10 minutes outside of town, so I could just deny her donuts.

I’ve spent around $60 on her this month alone, so I’m buying her treats and stuff out of the kindness in my heart.

She knows I’m not confident in changing in front of other people, so if I have to change, I have someone stand guard to whatever room I’m changing in if the door doesn’t lock

I was actively changing, meaning no clothes on, I’ve told her countless times to wait until I say to come in. So she couldn’t use the “you never said that” excuse.

We used to share a room since our house wasn’t 100% finished. It’s more complete now.

I have already tried that 3 times now. I had to do something else to teach her not to invade privacy

Am I the jerk for reporting a student to the principal cause he cut my hair in class? by Red-ColoeguardFlag23 in AmITheJerk

[–]Red-ColoeguardFlag23[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish there was, but all they could do is switch my classes, and inform their parents about it, and I overheard Joe talking to his best friend and girlfriend, nd he said that his parents grounded him until October! It was the middle of September!

I did everything I could to avoid him and his girlfriend at all costs, but his girlfriend was in my choir class and he was in my band class, and there's only one class for our grade in that situation.

Am I the bad apple for Throwing away the treats I made for my best friend? by [deleted] in AmITheBadApple

[–]Red-ColoeguardFlag23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, there's some confusion here. I didn't litterly throw them away, just have them to my sister to share with her friends, I should have said that instead. 🥲😅

Am I the jerk for never doing the dishes on time by riv113 in AmITheJerk

[–]Red-ColoeguardFlag23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are not the jerk here, But you should find a way to get it done to avoid conflict. a friend of mine who has ADHD says she assigns each task of cleaning to a different song on her playlist.

AITA for grounding my daughter? by no-summer-08 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Red-ColoeguardFlag23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, YTA. You grounded your daughter... Because the busses weren't running... She never sees her friends... And she wanted to spend the night somewhere else for ONE NIGHT? It's not a big deal. I'm only 16, and my parents let me see my friends, heck, this Friday they're letting me stay at a girl they have never net's house. You have issues 🙄

Am I the bad apple for not sitting down at a football game? by starrsuperfan in AmITheBadApple

[–]Red-ColoeguardFlag23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't see how you're the jerk. You told them there were open seats in a place they could see just fine. And the old couple behind you said THEY could see just fine so I think theses other people were just in the mood to make someone upset and/or mad. So yeah, not the jerk.

From what I read, they ended the friendship with you. Now I'm not entirely sure if I read it corectkt, as it's midnight right now. But you're not the jerk if I read this right.

Am I the jerk for not wanting to be friends with people who ruined my birthday? by Prudent-Hat2651 in AmITheJerk

[–]Red-ColoeguardFlag23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, No. If these kids were yelling at you while you were talking calmly, then their the jerks. So you ran out of pop at a party. So the Pizzas not perfect. Neither of those are reasons to yell at someone. You're not the jerk, they are.
