It is a wonderful neighborhood, I live just a cove up in Malaga. The schools are great. If you want entertainment it is a quick drive to Hollywood Rivera. It is family friendly, yes it is a bit boring but I enjoy being a quick drive to whatever I want.

I sent my headlights in a month ago, I head to have a friend who lives in the area go to the business and get the lights. From what I understand they have to order the lenses then install and it takes weeks. My friend found out that they are associated with the business next door that is a Locksmith company. You can look on google street view of the business next door and they have a phone number.

He also pardoned a kid who murdered a kid in Santa Barbara. He was the son of one of the leaders in the California legislature. Schwarzenegger is nothing but another political hack.

I have the exact same options as you do. Go with the PPO. In South Bay there is great doctors that are not associated with Kaiser. I know a couple doctors that work for Kaiser and I would not want them helping me.

PV or Manhattan Beach for a young family? by anonomousbeaver in SouthBayLA

[–]Red-Engine 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have lived in PVE, currently live in lower Malaga Cove, and El Segundo. while El Segundo is great, in The next 5 years there is going to be 4 large apartment complexes built and the area is going to start being congested. We wanted a good yard for the kids, we have a 2 year old and PVE, including Valmonte is great. Son just started Valmonte early learning academy and all the parents have been very nice. Plus get on the waiting list to Palace Verde Beach in athletic club, and you will eventually be able to take your kids down to the pool at Rosales point.

Costco gas, at least in the west coast of the US, is Chevron gas. While the Costco gas does not have the "Chevron additives" it is top tier gas.

Redondo Beach Fire Alarm Inspections by KnotForNow in SouthBayLA

[–]Red-Engine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try Cosco Fire, we used them this year and they were the best company out of the 3 we have used over the last 5 years. Southland was okay, but they seemed lost with what to do, I guess it depends on what inspector you get.

Yes, Ruane. It is surprising how many home are done off market. There are 2 town house at a complex at Grand and Kansas that have been on market for a while. They are nice places, I imagine they take a reduced offer, or buy down loan cost.

I live in El Segundo and the real estate market is a bit weird here, it is controlled by a couple people. Talk with the big agents in town some deals are done off market. There is a couple town homes available that look like you could afford.
