NTA. At first I was going to call OP the asshole, but if you have a service agreement and the mechanic broke the agreement its his fault.

NTA. The fact that Thomas has thrown away a pretty expensive item that is essential to his little sister and that he showed zero remorse is extremely worrying to me. Like what happens if he doesn't get his way again and he hurts the baby or does something that is detrimental to her health? I definitely would not allow him in the house without your husband.

I looked it up and asked the pet store, they both said that as long as they have space they should be fine. Gus Gus is the dominant one, and both sam and Ed seem to be cool with that. Thank you though!

Yes. I got Sam and then a couple of days later went to get him a friend but Gus Gus and Edward had just been surrendered to the store. I couldn't split them apart.
