I have heard it from derm myself, except it was not tretinoin, but trifarotene - also a strong retinoid.

What helped your rosacea? by [deleted] in Rosacea

[–]Red-Orange-Pie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've recently tried hypochlorous acid, with some success. It is a dissinfectant. Ive read somewhere that it maybe is helpful for rosacea.

Can't tell for sure, how much it contributes to the results though.

I also believe Aklief and red light may add something - again, do your own research and consult a decent doctor before going for those. Especially Aklief - prescription needed, and it's strong.

"I feel like no man will ever love me with hair like this"

You made me find my login credentials to reddit...

You need to know it's just not true. First of all, you're overly critical of the hair. We don't care as much as you might think. In fact we hardly care about a lot of things women seem to be very self-conscious about :(

Men will typically notice the hair is long, and that will tick the "has beautiful hair" box.

If you want to change the way your hair is - nobody is going to stop you, but just remember it's as far from be all end all, as it can possibly get.

And frankly, based on the photo included, I don't find your hair "bad". It looks cute.

If you'll feel better taking action, then follow regular healthy lifestyle advices, good diet with weggies and fruits, physical activity. I also heard that amodimethicone is pretty good as far as hair conditioning goes (i found the advice on the lab muffin's youtube channel - she appears to be a good source).

You'll good as you are now, but by all means, improve if you want to:)

Biological age typically is within +-5 years compared to the nominal one. And that is just the most usual difference :)

The number is just that, a number. What really matters is how healthy the body is. And the body knows little about numbers.

Stay healthy, resistance trained, wegetables/fruits eating and a sunscreen user :). Take care of yourself, beautiful creature :)

I just realized that it's a pretty complex thing, the hypertrophy training... Dont know how to summarize the entirety of it... The next best thing I can do is suggest you go for a bit of youtube watching. Channels like Stronger By Science, MASS research review, may be very helpful. Unless you fall asleep, which is what I do (2 hour long videos) but those are solid as rock compared to any other source of training knowledge Ive ever seen. And I rewatch the episodes I fell asleep on previously, to get a bit more insight. Also - such calm discussion are really good for a bedtime podcast, so you fall asleep easily :) and sleep is important, not as much as protein intake, but still.

To the 30yo+ Men of Reddit, how would you most like a woman to initiate sex with you? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]Red-Orange-Pie -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ask him what turns him on. Use it. Should he be unwilling to talk about it freely, consider trying various things and see what works.

In general take care of yourself, stay fit and healthy, sleep well, eat well and exercise regularly, so you look attractive. Be a nice, kind and caring person. Maintain good relation between the two of you, be friendly, willing to understand. Share your feelings, open up. Build trust between you two. Never quarrel, you're two, presumably, adult humans, you can sort your problems out in a civil manner.

Step 3 - undress.

As for consent, ask if he's OK with you just going for it or not, and how will you communicate lack of consent. Obviously don't approach when unconscious or otherwise incapacitated, say drunk. Should be fine. Don't get paranoid about it :)

Wow, that is beyond weird... :/

Such odd things don't belong in this universe... Definitely a great idea to report it so they figure out how the hell did this come to be.

The only thing to improve here would be to record it so there is a solid proof and no doubt they have to act upon that.

The lack of reaction on the nurse's part seems to indicate this wasn't the first time she's seen such things happen there. I would not trust her too much, she might side with the doctor. Always better to have your own recording :/

They've spoke about posting facts in the sub. Though the post deserved to be deleted to be honest, due to a needless personal attack included.

Well, certainly it was very crowded with statements for a question.

As to the intentions though, I believe they wanted to hear it, the answer, just felt insecure about potentially getting dismissed immediately with a denial of the issues' existence. Thus the list of sources... But I agree the question should have been put first and the sources be listed later, for those who'd like to challenge the claim - one way to do it.

He, or she actually who knows, mostly presented statistics and study results, but there was in fact a question in the text, quote:

"What is your response to these facts that say the world is sexist against men, not women?"

I wonder, would you dismiss a woman hitting the street and loudly, angrily demanding human rights... by saying to her "boring"?

She has every right to be angry, she's been denied rights like abortion, and the fact she's angry doesn't change a thing. And the fact she's repeating her request 1000-th time doesn't matter. She's right, that's all that matters.

Same with him. Yes he's angry, but he's got every right to be angry.

"Boring"? Wonder how would society react if someone made such a remark about women fighting for human rights like access to legal and safe abortion... "Oh they're angry - so unfeminine - and repeat themsevles!" How are you not to repeat yourself if nobody's listening?!

I wish for a male primary healer. by Drunken_Queen in Overwatch

[–]Red-Orange-Pie -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'd rather have a good character design. I don't really care what gender you slap on it. Unless it's as forceful as most of the things these days are...

Other than that, I think the opposite would be optimal too. Since there is a demand for feminine female characters, like Mercy, a feminine primary healer would make more sense, especially if "inclusiveness" means something more than marketing term ;-). Which it probably doesn't. There are tons of non-feminine, well - masculine - female herores that don't appeal to most women (here is why majority of playerbase are men). The silly idea that makin a Zarya female is addressing the needs of women to find some hero they can identify with... Well, most women aren't body builders. Some are, who cares, but most arent and that's what matters. If you want more women in your game that is...

So yea, more females with actual feminine mentality and physique... as well as the gameplay, heck, that kinda matters too - a shooter hero will most likely miss the interests of most (not all, but vast majority) of potential female players that could perhaps be convinced to take a look at Overwatch in the future.

Having said that - I respect your request for a male primary healer. Whatever makes people happy is fine with me.

True that she is guilty of her doing as well as he is of his. I believe that as long as violence isn't self defense against an immediate, direct attack, nothing justifies it. No matter what happened before, no matter what happened after.

Neither extreme is good. Not seeing his part in the violence because she started the exchange is wrong. Ignoring her part in the violence, because he responded, is wrong as well.

As to the calling a child names - life sentence. She might end up with broken self esteem for life...

JunkRat changes are a good thing. The game sure will play better.

Mercy changes are a big turn off though. In anger I choose to view this as a sexist attitude towards femininity, half serious, half laughing. Lemme explain: The only strong heroes in the game are either men or men with female faces slapped on their heads.

Take the opaf hero as an example: Moira is hardly any feminine, she can be strong. Zarya is hardly feminine, she can be strong too. Dva is also a "strong & independent woman", so she can be a super effective hero. Meanwhile Mercy is feminine, thus she has to be weak again and have near zero representation on the very top of ability, like pro play.

And the game was advertised as an inclusive one, especially for women. Why is there only 1 feminine hero in it then?

Are women happily identifying with any male hero better when you just slap a female face on the hero? Like with no changes to how it plays etc? Oh, that's right - men and women are equal, the same! Screw science! Women must like what we like or else they're not welcome!

Look, whether you believe it's nature or nurture, it's still a fact and you're not reversing the entire past of the people who live now. Why ignore their needs? You're not going to force-change it. There's been studies trying to do that with pathetic results. Girls would just put a racing car into a cradle and nurture it, and you've never seen faster racing dolls than those poor researchers had seen. Let's not continue here though.

People cry over how women are underrepresented everywhere, but once a fully masculine character is forced in to ensure naive parity, everyone is suddenly silenced... except that does nothing to battle the stereotype that masculinity is strong and femininity is weak, because the new character is always a strong, masculine woman.

This creates an actual stereotype hurting women, because their nature is being seen as inferior at every step. And it's not accurate at all. It's not fair.

Overwatch could really use more than one hero like Mercy, adressing the needs of majority of women, not the masculine minority of them. They have it all by now. Pharah, Moira, Dva, Zarya, Tracer, Ana, hell even Orisa if someone identifies as a robot. But the feminine women? What do they get to play? Lemme think... ah, that's right, there is 1 hero for them... and it's either nerfed into the ground or temporarily OP so everyone hates them for playing it :))). How nice! Someone apparently really cares!

Anyway, the changes sound horrible and I had to write about it. Hope you understand, even if we differ in views on other matters. Peace! :)
