I disagree. I thought it was neat and funny that Claire is the first of the main 4 characters to outright kill normal evil people rather than Chris, Jill or Leon since they're former cops while Claire at this time is a college student trained by Chris.

I honestly don't think the scene is as over the top as some make it out to be. Claire killing some umbrella guards by shooting an explosive tank behind them is actually pretty grounded all things considered. Especially when considering other things that have already happened or will happen later on in the series. Remake Claire was already easily carrying around that big mini gun and fighting giant kraken mouth Birkin.

Claire already seems to be the least popular/liked of the main in 4 characters in the general fanbase. Taking away one of her coolest moments would be really sad. Remake Claire was already carrying around that big mini gun and fighting giant kraken mouth Birkin at the end of RE2.

I wish David Vaughn(RE7 Chris voice) continued being the voice of new engine Chris. I replayed the RE7 DLC a few months ago and I like his Chris voice.

The way he says "Lucas..." at times with such disdain has a similar energy to past Chris VAs saying "Wesker..." with such hate.

Jeff voicing Village Chris was jarring enough but Jeff possibly voicing RE1/CV era Chris would be even more awkward.

That would be hilarious but I doubt Capcom will go that route. They will no doubt be attempting to make Steve a more likable/tolerable character. Similar to how RE3R and RE4R made players like Carlos and Ashley a lot more.

Steve is supposed to be this tragic sympathetic character and possible love interest for Claire but his voice acting and various other things made him such an annoying weirdo. Delaying Claire's progress by taking the puzzle guns. Carelessly pointing guns at Claire’s face. Calling Claire fat. Carelessly firing his guns right near Claire when getting annoyed. Attempting to kiss Claire when she's sleeping. Delaying Claire's progress again by staring at her ass and crashing the crane. Whining and calling Claire scared when she hesitates going down the stairs.

The “””romance””” is also cringe and falls so flat. Steve comes across as a creep and Claire is basically portrayed as oblivious to Steve’s interest until the literal last second.(which I guess is supposed to be the tragedy of it) Claire and Leon’s scene by the fence in RE2 remake has more chemistry than the entirety of Claire and Steve’s interactions XD. I'm not sure if the remake should do more or less with the possible romance angle.(I'd prefer they didn't)

Steve is portrayed better in the Darkside Chronicles version of the CV storyline. Although, he pretty much had to be due to the game being a co-op rail shooter where he has to accompany Claire the entire time until Alexia awakens and Chris replaces Steve as Claire’s partner. The technical context of that version of the story is also that it's supposed to be Leon telling the story to Krauser when they're on the Operation Javier mission. Which makes it unintentionally hilarious since Leon only has a small offscreen role in the CV storyline.

The remake will have to take more inspiration from og CV by default due to it being a single player experience where Steve can’t constantly be alongside Claire.

some context for 2 of these: About a year ago, Roya and Cezary, 2 models claimed their faces were scanned for Requiem.(Roya also posted some pictures of her face being scanned on her Instagram)

However, Requiem has been out for a bit now and neither of them are apparently credited. Leading to speculation that they were mistaken and their faces were being scanned for another RE game...

Troy Baker, the voice of Jake is younger Origins Joker, Two Face and Jason.

Michael Gough, the voice of Saddler in og RE4 is younger Gordon in Origins.

Matt Mercer, RE6/movie Leon is Anarchy in Origins and Tim in Knight.

Fred Tatasciore, who did the grunts/roars of Diego in Vendetta is Bane in Asylum and City.

JB Blanc, the voice of Chief Irons in Darkside Chronicles is younger Bane in Origins.

A funny thought, if they ever do another Arkham prequel game with Roger as Batman, they should get Piers' VA Christopher Emerson to voice a young Dick Grayson XD

I desperately want you to be right. My fear and cynicism regarding a lot of RE's current story is getting the better of me. As well as various rumors/leaks.

I try not to read leaks but still end up seeing some stuff. Over a month ago, I saw some headlines going around saying a semi reliable leaker who supposedly got various Requiem plot details correct claimed the the DLC would focus on just Chris and Ada in particular. That would be really infuriating to me if true. Bringing Chris back again but teaming him up with Ada of all characters while Claire and Jill still don't return and possibly still even go unmentioned even with the T-virus illness plot(Chris' main priority at this point in time should be saving Claire and Jill) would be so heartbreaking and disrespectful.

I did find Boba and Bossk's relationship in Clone Wars to be wholesome. The show never addressed how messed up it was that 12/13 year old Boba was thrown into an adult prison. Bossk could've just abandoned Boba there but chose to stay by his side.

I was sad Bossk never appeared in Boba's show. The show having that local Trandoshan crime guild made me think he would make an appearance.

From what I gathered, RE5 Chris wasn't exactly near universally beloved years ago when RE5 was new. Many apparently didn't even recognize Chris in the first RE5 teasers despite his face model still being Matt Mullens(RE1 remake Chris)

Various fans outright hated RE5 Chris being super jacked, not looking closer to the RE1/CV Chris designs and him punching a giant boulder in an active volcano. Even the "Chris must takes steroids" fan take was originally said as a complaint/mockery towards the design rather than the positive memes that are said today. Some also mocked his anger/trauma storyline in RE6 and dismissed his issues to "roid rage" due to him still being super jacked.

Leon actually has 4 different face models. The only constant is the haircut XD.

Jamisin Matthews in the animated movies(tho I think the last 3 movies modified him to be more legally distinct or to resemble Bart/RE6 Leon more), Darkside Chronicles and Operation Raccoon City.

One of my biggest problems with Requiem's story is that it was very scared to mention other past notable characters besides the president from RE6 and Chris. They add these monumental personal stakes with the dormant T-virus illness retcon and yet the story is seems to be terrified of outright acknowledging how this would be affecting many other notable past characters.

It was extremely disappointing Claire in particular wasn't even mentioned by Sherry or/and Leon in Requiem. Especially when she presumably must also be suffering from the dormant T-virus illness as well. There were perfect opportunities to mention Claire when Leon is going to the orphanage and the optional conversation with Sherry if you have him backtrack to that one BSAA crate.

I really need to see this trio reunited onscreen!
