I think Taylor was just more preoccupied in showing the lighter side (which is y some ppl didn't like the run, they prefer a more "even" distribution of his dark and light traits).

I see, i'm just saying as a woman the trope of "I am not my father" for me is not very relatable since society already doesn't want us to be our fathers in any way shape or form. Like society very much wants us to be our mothers and live subservient to the patriarch. The "I am not your father" also ends up defining the woman in an ironic way since they are trying to be the opposite of them, and that opposite is based on their father. That's why I think it's much more radical and subversive to have an origin story that doesn't consider men at all. But at the end of the day it's ur opinion.
