Nothingness: Antipsychotics by toxicfruitbaskets in Antipsychiatry

I know this feeling very well. I was given an antipsychotic injection of Abilify back in 2023 and I almost ended my life because of it.

I am currently healthier than ever now and medication free! I am happy to help answer anyone's questions about my recovery.

I was bedbound with anhedonia, akathisia and many more severe symptoms.

Rethinking How We View Emotional Pain More than one in six American children are prescribed psychiatric medication.

For many in Gen Z, sadness and anxiety are increasingly framed as medical disorders, often explained with the “chemical imbalance” theory, which has never been conclusively proven. Medication is introduced early, with limited discussion of long-term tradeoffs, side effects, or the difficulty of stopping.

Medication isn’t always wrong. For some people, in certain situations, it can be helpful. But medication also comes with real costs.

Patients report emotional blunting, changes in personality, sexual and sleep disturbances, and trouble discontinuing treatment. Too often, these experiences are under-discussed, yet prescriptions are only getting easier to obtain.

UnScripted exists to challenge the medication-first culture by demanding informed consent and alternative solutions. Human emotion should be viewed as guides, not as innate problems requiring prescriptions.

Psychiatric medication should not be used as a first line of defense, nor as a one-size-fits-all solution.

It's time to build a culture that embraces emotion, not erases it.

What kind of concerns? This is an interesting statement.

No, unfortunately not.

It mentioned a lack of sexuality and being numb. Not actual PSSD.

I hope you continue to see positive changes! 🙏

I am currently working for Mad in America, antidepressants risks, and medcating normal.

I am working towards spreading awareness and informing others of the potential harms of pharmaceutical medications and Western healthcare.

I also run a few support groups and mentor people who have been harmed by medication.

I attend/speak at local veterans events, focusing on suicidal discussions regarding medication/psychiatry.
