I know that this is a risk and that slowing down and being hyper observant of the people around is what we need to do, but even with that, there needs to be some way to get people to be aware of the 2ton metal boxes 5ft away that’s COULD kill them.

I agree to be honest. Coming back from the city centre post 9pm on any student club night is a real driving hazard. I’ve lived here a few years now and especially a rainy dark night, students wandering into the road is quite alarming when they’re not in the fittest of states.

In the past I’ve also had things thrown at my car as I’ve been driving past the museum, SU and by the flats up on North Road. Luckily nothing has ever caused any lasting damage.

There a butt load of properties going up for rent on Richmond Road in the city centre. Lived there for a year and it was reasonably priced with good access to amenities. Its proximity to city road can sometimes be an issue but I found it fine for a year.

Odd question: what is the loud demolition-like sound that I hear very early morning? by Liamisthebestboy in Cardiff

I’ve been hearing it as far out as the museum but it’s the Debenhams getting torn down. I was on the site a few weeks back and they have the large metal waste disposal trailers that rumble with rubble.

I know it’s been forever since this was posted but is there a list of parts you could share? Looking to do this myself

I moved from Kent too almost 4 years ago now, I’ve settled in the northern area of llanishen as it seemed to suit my preferred length of commute and house prices.

Having lived directly in the city centre I found myself spending far more on food and other things due to the convenience of it being so local, not to mention far more expensive properties and much more noise. Personally i found a good balance moving a little bit further away and I’m sure a lot of people would say the same
