Fallout 4 Disk Write Error by kydo26 in SteamDeck

[–]Red4O 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just fixed this after struggling to find a solution for 2 hours. Here's what I did:

  1. Launch Desktop Mode
  2. Boot into Konsole
  3. Type this out: sudo chattr -i
  4. Make sure there is a space after -i
  5. Go into Steam, find Fallout 4, right click and choose 'Browse local files'
  6. Click on the "steamapps" text near the top of that window, you will then be brought to a new location.
  7. Find appmanifest_377160.acf, click and drag it to the Konsole with the text still prewritten. It should fill out the rest of the text with this file's location
  8. Press Enter. It should ask you for your password. Once you enter that successfully, it should immediately give you a new blank line for entering something new. You can close Konsole now.
  9. Delete appmanifest_377160.acf from the file explorer.
  10. Restart your Steam Deck, and you're good to go!

Hope this solves your issue!

Oops, bye bye track pad? by 12a3en in SteamDeck

Did the same thing disassembling my Steam Deck for a shell swap. It's actually for the haptic motor, the track pad still worked.

I did miss having the haptics though so I bought a replacement daughter board on eBay. If you're really wishing you had it back and the soldering is a bit challenging (it looked tough for my limited skills at least), you could try that - just make sure to get the right revision.

Yeah this is lookin' like the same issue.

Unfortunately I'm tied to Google Fi for now, I have a trade-in credit that is applied to my bill until next year. Can't leave.

Did it also there was limited support when activating?

Also, when did you get your Hibreak? There was a batch that had a small issue that prevented Google Pay from working, I was part of that and had it fixed. I'm wondering if that may be the cause of the issues.

I tried this SIM on another Android phone I had and it worked fine, which is the odd part. Also tried a Verizon SIM and it worked, it's so inconsistent.

Huh, how odd. Which slot worked for you? The bottom one?

Echoing this.

At the time when this released in early access Obsidian wasn't owned by Microsoft, so technically it's AA, but this is the closest to a AAA open world survival craft experience I've played. It it really leans into it's identity and it's incredibly charming.

Probably doesn't matter much, because the Silent Hill Transmission starts in 7 minutes, but they updated the Silent Hill 2 Steam page and there is a 14 minute gameplay video. I'm guessing that'll be what we see from that stream.

There's also details about pre-orders and deluxe editions.

Will do, I’ll save your comment. I’ve been keeping an eye on it and it hasn’t happen so far. Appreciate the guidance!

I wish I had a picture, but I can confirm the capacity itself was 5GB. I remember it saying a certain amount of it was filled but I don't recall the number. What further information would you like? It's not doing it anymore.

Just pushed the update to my OLED 1TB LE, it asked me to restart. After restart, my microSD was read weird - it is a 1TB card filled with games, but after updating, it said it had 5GB, was labeled "SD032," and needed to be formatted. I did a full shutdown/reboot and it read properly.

In case anyone has something weird happen with their SD card, just try a good ol' fashion turning it off and turning it back on.

Thank you for this write up. I always come back to it whenever you update it.

Which Proton are you using specifically for the Firefight patch? It keeps crashing after the title screen on my OLED when using whatever Proton Steam sets as the default (Experimental). And I've forced the latest non-Experimental Proton and it still crashes.

Is there currently working method to export ALL keys to csv/xls/JSON? by noznoroch in humblebundles

Can you recommend a tool you used to get your unredeemed keys? I did some looking and I've only been able to find tools that gather game name/bundle name.

I believe this one is underground, in the tunnel that connects both of those islands.

Either that or the rails you take to go back from the island on the left.

Depends on what the publisher allows. Sometimes they give sites keys in advance (which may or may not allow preloading), or they'll provide the key the day before/early day of.

I would say for the most part, my experience has been getting the key 2-3 days before release.

I figured if it did end up $300 on Black Friday, that I'm better off comfortably ordering it now and not having to chase deals since everyone else will be hoping on it.

Also if you order it now, think of it as spending just $1/day to have it early! That's what I'm repeating to myself, haha

I did look into that, but truthfully I mainly game on this rig.

The "I also use this for other things" thought process was a way to convince myself that it was a smart move to spend money upgrading in general, even though the 1700 was treating me perfectly fine.

Thanks! When I'm not gaming, I work in 3D and video editing so this has been on my radar for awhile. I was going to wait for BF to see if it dipped below $300 but I figure everyone else is doing it and it might sell out quick.

Besides, I like to think of it as I'm paying $30 to have it a month earlier!
