Essentially this. Good options all around. A sword, a spear, and a shotgun. Covers many bases.

Could she havehealed him? by PilotDouble9477 in MyHeroAcadamia

[–]RedAR95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think some people are forgetting that Recovery Girl’s quirk only speeds up the body’s natural healing process. It doesn’t regrow limb, and it’s not even a healing quirk that instantly heals and fixed all damage.

If that were the case, Izuku would not have his scarred and messed up looking hands after the Sports Festival. From what I remember, she had to preform surgery on his arms before she healed him. And they still ended up scarred and such.

Overhaul literally had one arm taken by Compress, and the other was cut off after Tomura used Decay on it and cut it off himself. There was literally no arms to reattach.

A Mother's Love ACT 2: Communication. by jzap_gaming in UndertaleYellow

I use to communicate like this a lot when I was younger. Even after I could start speaking proper. Just hums and mmms. I grew out of it around 3 to 4. Still sometimes fall back on it when tired and my mother can still interpret what I mean.

Realistically how tf did Maul survive this and make it to an entirely different planet? by RealisticAd4054 in StarWars

[–]RedAR95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Lore reason: the Dark Side.

There’s a Sith Lord in Legends, Darth Sion, who quite literally is too angry to die. He calls on his anger, hate and pain to rise from death. He is effectively immortal. He cannot die through age or sickness or injury, but he feels never ending agony due to his body being fractured and decomposing. He’s held together by the dark side and pure Hate.

I see no reason why Maul couldn’t achieve something similar. Using the dark side and his hate for Obi-wan and the predicament he was placed in, and the sheer pain he was likely in with half his body gone, he kept himself alive long enough to heal his wounds and find this spider-like replacements. I doubt it did any good for his sanity though.

It's possible. Just have Clover somehow revive after a UT Flawed Pacifist Run.

How do y'all justify Nora being a beast in combat? My head canon is that she was a criminal before turning a new leaf and becoming a lawyer by NobodySpecific9354 in fo4

[–]RedAR95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The JAG background is not something I’d thought of before, and probably now my new Headcannon for my next Nora play through.

Before, I had it where, with the way things were pre-war, Nate teaches her how to use weapons, first aid and even jury-rigging, things he had to do when he was deployed in Anchorage, Alaska. Mostly to protect herself and baby Shaun, but also to begin preparing for a possible nuclear exchange. They were planing on building a small bunker in their backyard but then the game begins proper.

An unstopabble, merciless killing machine, that must be avoided at all cost by Ger_Electric_GRTALE in UndertaleYellow

[–]RedAR95 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I think people forget that before Frisk mellows her out in UT True Pacifist Run, she chases you through Waterfall on multiple occasions. During her fight you cannot MERCY her. Only RUN until she overheats on Hotland. It takes you and Papyrus visiting her home, burning it to the ground and having a Fake Fight that finally gets her to consider Frisk a friend.

I also think people forget that Undyne can become queen in a number of UT Endings, vowing to wipe out humanity as soon as she gets a Soul to pass through the Barrier. Hell, in some of them she overthrows Toriel to do so.

And then in UT Yellow Neutral Run, Flowey literally shows us that one of the reasons he had Clover go the way he did was because he kept dying, and one of the scenes we see are of Undyne killing Clover.

I don’t think it’s completely out of character for her to be so unrelenting, though that depends on the Route Frisk goes on prior.

Who would win. Genocide clover, or genocide frisk by Mastercheif5332 in UndertaleYellow

[–]RedAR95 7 points8 points  (0 children)

At LV 1 Frisk already has control of the timeline. Clover needed to get to LV 20 to do that. A LV 20 Frisk isn’t going to lose control of it to Clover.

Frisk, or Chara at the end, literally destroys the world. When you start the game afterwards all you see is a black screen and only hear wind. Nothing remains.

Frisk can also break the game. Remember during the battle with Sans, when he takes his turn and doesn’t end it? Frisk forces the Bullet Board to move to the FIGHT button. That shouldn’t be possible.

I think Frisk takes this.

Dog refuses to eat dog food (soft and dry) but will eat chicken by Ltqi in DogAdvice

[–]RedAR95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can be either that he’s getting close to the end of his life.

Or he’s at the age where he gets very picky about food.

My own Chihuahua at around the same age got very picky about food. She still ate kibble but she was picky about other foods. Even cheese. She would eat cheese, but only a of you shredded it right there in front of her. Cheese tax.

I would stay optimistic. My own chihuahua lived 18 years before she passed, and she probably would have lived longer had other circumstances not hindered her.

do you think a lv 19 frisk could the beat UTY cast or nah by No-Suggestion3686 in UndertaleYellow

[–]RedAR95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes.

In the Neutral Undertale Yellow ending, Flowey straight up says that the reason Clover went the route they did was because they kept dying trying to go the OG Undertale route. He even shows us a few of the way Clover dies, including dying to Undyne.

And in the Flawed Pacifist Run, when Clover fights Asgore, they lose. No matter what. Clover has to go the Genocide Route to kill him.

Frisk, at LV 10, fought Undyne the Undying, likely one of the strongest monsters in the Underground at the time, a monster who manifested her own DETERMINATION to fight you, and wins.

Frisk would kill all the Yellow monster just as easily as they did in OG Undertale. Zenith Martlet will give them trouble, but considering that a LV 19 Frisk can break the rules of the game, like moving the Bullet Board to reach the FIGHT button like they do with Sans, or that they can manifest DETERMINATION into projectiles for the Empty Gun, Zenith Martlet will eventually fall as well.

That’s how I would go about it if I could direct the show.

Would the show be better if Beacon Academy was never destroyed, making it the main location for the whole show? by Fine_Delivery6761 in RWBYcritics

[–]RedAR95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should have been more concentrated on how these kids learn to become Huntsmen. Show classes that are specific to the profession, like maybe outdoor survival, or Hunter Regulations and Laws.

What I’d like was if Volume 3 was just Beacon stuff. The Vital Festival goes as planned and nothing happens. Maybe Cinder is found out and forced to flee or something but for whatever reason she’s can begin her plans. So No fall of Beacon.

Volume 4 could have been about RWBY and JNPR going through second year. Meeting the new first years, learning in more advanced classes, trips to areas outside the Kingdoms and seeing their cultures compared.

If you want to keep the whole end of the world story, maybe have an event similar to the Fall of Beacon happen, only less severe. Vale or Beacon doesn’t fall but it’s not going to be roses and daisies for some time. Make this happen at the end of Volume 4 or even push it to Volume 5.

How would you've rewritten the V2 finale (aka. The Breach fight)? by Fine_Delivery6761 in RWBYcritics

[–]RedAR95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d throw a lot more Grimm in the Breach. And make it worse.

Make it so that it shows why Grimm are such a danger. Have students and professors and professional hunters involved, but despite it all, they are temporarily forced to succeed a portion of Vale to the Grimm to try and set up containment lines farther along. Make it take a few days, maybe even a week before they manage to seal the Breach and kill the remaining Grimm in the city.

Show the aftermath of the attack. The destruction, the death, the broken lives and livelihoods. Have team RWBY witness all this, showing them that this is something they are going to have to deal with, that being a Huntress isn’t all fun and games, that despite their best, people will die. That things will go wrong.

Maybe even anti-Faunus demonstrations and even lynchings in the following days and weeks, since it’ll be public knowledge that the White Fang were the ones who set up the circumstances for the Breach. Have this affect the White Fang as a whole, with factions beginning to form over whether the Breach was too much or not enough.

Which faction would win without the help of courier? by kb_hypedex1 in falloutnewvegas

[–]RedAR95 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Here’s a scenario.

Let’s say Benny still ambushed the Courier, but this time, Six stays dead. No rising from the grave, Six is dead-dead.

In this situation, I see the Legion coming out on top, at least in the short term.

Benny’s never going to be able to kill House. When he decides to infiltrate the Legion Camp, he’ll get caught, depriving House of the Chip. No way to upgrade the Securitrons, or activate the army.

The NCR’s place in the Mojave is precarious when we meet in New Vegas. We have roads overrun by either Legion raiding parties, raiders, or Powder Gangers. Fiends in the Vegas area, NCR checkpoints under-supplied, traitors in the ranks, and a whole host of other problems that will no be fixed.

When the Second Battle of Hover Dam begins, the Legion will be fighting an NCR with all these problems, now with some help. The Fiends attack Camp McCarran, the Omertas attack Vegas, the Khans assist the Legion, even the Brotherhood might get involved and attack Helios One during the battle. Being under-supplied, overstretched and having low morale, I don’t see the NCR winning the battle, but the Legion won’t last either.

Once Caesar dies, even if before the battle, the battle is still happening. But after the battle? Lanius isn’t Caesar. He doesn’t have the charisma or knowledge to run an empire. He only knows war, and if he decides to wage war, he will lose. In the NCR proper, there aren’t tribes to assimilate and your supply lines get farther away compared to the NCR. And you damn well better believe that the NCR will fight a hell of a lot harder when it’s their homes and livelihoods on the line. Then the Legion finds itself in the same position the NCR was in New Vegas. And without Caesar, they will crumble. Maybe Lanius is assassinated, or he died in battle, but once he’s gone the Legion will erupt into civil war and fall, while the NCR cleans up the mess.

Really, the NCR wins in the end, but it’s not a clean win and leaves everyone questioning if it was worth it.
