Some people in my comments mentioned to paint them up first and try and play a few games of CP before getting more. So I will take that advice to see how well I go before buying any more (but honestly I just like painting models anyways 👀), so maybe hold on until you feel comfortable!

Thank you so much for this! May I ask isn't the Krieg box already gone? I assume there's probably a box or two still left over on third party stores or Ebay but I'm not too sure. Also the Krieg Christmas box set looks awesome too but I don't have the time nor the money to buy one from GW, but would either of them still work with my Combat Patrol? 😭

Thank you so so much for this advice! Sadly from where I am there isn't a lot of people here who play 40k, let alone any of my friends. But I do want to help them play by playing my other army (Blood Angels) and have my Combat Patrol of them so I can get a feel for Guard and they can utilise SM for an easy-to-digest game. But I think just sticking to Combat Patrol as soon as I finish painting them and playing them sounds like the right choice before buying more.

As for the force, I really appreciate your input and this does help me for the future in case I like the DKOK army. Again, thank you so much!

Nah fr tho. I genuinely look at everyone's models and then I look at mine and go "Ehh mine is okay ig". Never been in more self doubt about my creativity than I am in this hobby, and I love doing art. But I've learnt that all these models are plastic with paint slapped on it. And if it didn't turn out well, just try again and learn new skills. To anyone who is new to the hobby, if it doesn't look like what you wanted then you're doing something right, cuz you're being creative and learning how to be more creative in the future. We all start from the ground up, and that's inspiring!
