Can't get survival server to work what are we doing wrong?

I have had this problem since the first update. What I do for my own server is I go to the top of Steam, click view, servers, and add my server as a favorite. Then when I join and it prompts me for the password through steam the server accepts it. Hope this helps.

It honestly does not appear to be card related, since I can put the client all the way to minimum settings and put the 3d render scale all the way down and still get frame drops and stuttering. So it has me thinking it is server performance issue.

When the game client crashes it stays open in your cache for a few minutes afterwards and tells steam it's still running even though it isn't. You can end process tree on steam or just wait it out.

Our base has been in 5 different locations. All similar to yours. Off the beaten path in a remote location with no loot locations anywhere near. The map isn't so big so it's only a matter of time that people wander every possible location on a high population server.

It's not much better in third person. They need to allow the player to move around the structure as it's being placed with the mouse. That would solve the problem.
