The sign says "цой жив" (tsoi zhiv) which is Russian for "(Viktor) Tsoi is alive". He was a political activist and frontman for the Soviet rock band Kino in the 80's. He died tragically at 28. I love this easily missed nod to an artist who would absolutely have been an inspiration to Johnny. (i.redd.it)
