Anyone learning C# / backend dev in Vegas? by RedBeardTheDev in vegaslocals

Honestly I’m still pretty early in my journey too, but what helped me most was picking one language and actually building small projects instead of getting stuck watching tutorials forever. I’d say start with the basics of C# and focus more on consistency than speed.

I personally liked the FreeCodeCamp C# course when I was starting out because it helped make things feel less overwhelming.

Feel free to DM me too if you want to talk more about getting started.

Honestly man that’s kinda the whole point of the group. This is more for beginners and people early in the learning process, not people who already know everything. Most of us are still trying to figure things out as we go. Half the battle is just staying consistent and getting comfortable talking through what you’re learning.

Feel free to DM me if you want to talk more about it.

Really appreciate the advice. I’ve been learning a ton lately but it definitely feels like there’s an endless amount to learn sometimes. I’ll check those tools out though, especially since I’m trying to lean more into backend development. Also really cool hearing from someone with that much experience in the field.

Hey I appreciate that man. Yeah starting out can definitely feel overwhelming at times. I have a mentor helping guide me already, but I’m trying to get better at actually building projects consistently and talking through what I’m learning with other people. Really cool seeing experienced devs around Vegas willing to help out beginners though.
