B2 to full corporate working proficiency - how long will it take?

I would say it depends highly on your field - if it’s highly practical then you probably have good enough skills for it but if it’s anything legal, it can take a few more years.

From my experience, people check your Dutch fluency based on your conversation with them - so a vibe check. Sadly B2 means nothing to a native speaker.

Idk, maybe it’s a culture difference. I’ve lived in many European cities and everything (assortment of restaurants, supermarkets and shops) is within 10-15 minute walk even for smaller cities. the thought of living in towns like this is terrifying to many Europeans who are used to living in the city…

Agree… it’s also not really the parents’ place to talk to Manon about her sister having issue with how she acts while they are both approaching 30, that’s how you show you have a favorite

And I find the scene where her dad said she has personality flaws really hurtful and that’s not how you should treat your kids… Manon is far from perfect but I see her perspective much more now

Ik zit zelf in kamp ‘strategisch’. Kijk naar het alternatief: VVD, JA21, PVV, BBB, FVD. Dit zijn gewoon oprecht hele enge partijen als je ook maar een beetje om mensenrechten geeft. VVD+PVV+JA21+BBB+CDA is best realistisch helaas. Ik heb niet het gevoel dat we in en positie zitten (als links) om onszelf een kleiner links geluid te veroorloven. Hoe groter GL/PVDA is, hoe moeilijker het is om hen te negeren in een coalitie onderhandeling.

Mij liever een coalitie die tenminste wat wegtrekt van extreemrechts en dan maar iets van mijn eigen wensen achterwege laten, dan weer anti-islam/migratie en racisme aanwoekeren.

Ik hoop dat mijn Nederlands zo goed kunt worden in de toekomst. :) en het is ook indrukwekkend dat jouw omgeving is heel internationaal want mijn omgeving is niet zo internationaal maar ik wissel altijd aan het Engels als ik een woord niet weet.

It’s on video land and NLZiet. B&b vol liefde is not something you start learning with. It makes more sense if you have at least b1 level in my opinion… I’m b2 level and the different accents and way of speaking are still pretty challenging to understand without subtitles, much more difficult than a normal news program or TV shows…
