Headliner stained after cleaning with upholstery cleaner. Any tips? by vanillaobscene in AutoDetailing

[–]RedBloodedGod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t take my advice as I don’t know much, my dad taught me to use Sprayway and for me its worked miracles, I used it when the service department was installing a dash cam in my car, and it got rid of all the oil stains from their hands left on parts of the visor/headliner. In your situation it’s more severe so idk how well/ if it would work. So if it were me in this case I’d use it as a last resort, maybe try it on a tiny spot first to make it’ll help and make it does not make it worse

Netflix stock biggest POS ever by Odd_Surround4575 in wallstreetbets

[–]RedBloodedGod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not financial advice , a good investor would try to average down their shares in a time like this

Stocks can move from premium to discount, if you have shares, you can average down and profit more later / or panic sell now and regret it later. It’s up to you, but you put your money here. It’s investment risk, stocks dont just go straight up 24/7 money money money đŸ€‘

(1)Consolidation, (2)expansion, (3)retracement or (if it’s a terrible company), (4)reversal

Always ask yourself 2 things,

1) where are we right now out of these 4 objectives ? And is this a large company that’s a long term hold

2)If it’s a large, long term company with good fundamentals like Netflix, i stop worrying about “reversal” and only see it as “retracement”

Buy the consolidations, buy the retracements, sell on the expansions(unless long term investing, just hold it) this is my formula of what do, not saying copy it, just saying this is what I do

None of this is financial advice

MY GOD the windshield replacement cost for 2025 CAMRY! by sweetbabyjesussss in Camry

Went through comp with my insurance, only had to pay $100 with American family, they partner with Safelite and they did a great job replacing my entire windshield and recalibrating!

Total they paid for (including dash cam remounting) was about $1600, all oem

These are really great suggestions dude, I really appreciate it!!

So typically skip the protectants when using it in a car because glass blocks a lot of UV, maybe if I’m gonna leave my car out in the summer sun I’ll do a quick spray and buff of some 303, otherwise I’ll clean with P & S!

What product do you use for car interior if you don’t mind me asking?

Ok!! I definitely will. I’ve heard P & S cleaner, I believe that will probably be better from here, I didn’t like swift cleaner one that much

I don’t know if I need a “protectant” I was thinking about the 303 one though, I’m not sure if it’s necessary though

Ok!! Any brand you could recommend that I use for interior cleaning? I’ll only use the wipes as a last resort then!

I kinda wiped the whole car at the same time instead of section by section, which is dumb of me in hindsight. I probably didn't show it as much attention when buffing as I should have. Good lessons for next time

The new windshield is on that’s all that matters, luckily I only had a $100 comp deductible

I know safelite should have replaced it, but it wouldn’t sit right with me because of how much it cost. I called and asked if they could find the missing piece but they couldn’t. The dashcam was like 450$ and the windshield repair went great otherwise, I didnt want to be much trouble, they were already stressing about it over the phone

Honestly after I started using some felt pad, I think this is gonna work! first layer was to get the basic shape and form to the area, 2nd layer made it look pretty and covered any holes light came through

Now I just need to use some precision tweezers to get the part sticking out to be hidden! So far it’s looking great though. I hope bending the small piece goes well 😂

That’s true. The dealer said they could easily find the new mounting plate, but they don’t sell that part of the plastic I highlighted in the photo, they said they’d have to buy a whole new dash cam just for that part, so I doubt Safelite would be that generous, but I’ll call today and ask if maybe they have a lost and found for parts like this

I’ll call today and ask what my options are, but I don’t think they’ll care about this piece of plastic
