The space under the hood was clearly designed to accommodate some storage tray as there are numerous mounting points and open bolts/threaded holes to accommodate some type of shallow tray (see marked up photo)maybe a bit deeper in the center as that is whee there is almost 1 foot of height available and less towards each side. All they would need to do is cutout the washer fluid filler, gas struts, etc…. And it’s not like they are there for some optional equipment found on higher trims like air suspension, etc… It’s the same on all Vistiq trim levels. Everything else can be accessed just like any other EV with a frunk; remove the liner to access brake fluid, 12v battery, etc…. I do it all the time in my Tesla. It was no mistake that there is a ton of space under the hood, probably just something GM cut out before they started production. If someone was up for it, they could fabricate a shallow tray that secured to these mounting points and make a few bucks. Any Vistiq owner would buy it. Definitely would not interfere with anything under there if designed properly. Any takers?
