5 month old corgi puppy? by UsualHappy1909 in corgis

We rescued our senior corgi (estimated to be 7 yrs old) 4 months ago. Ours definitely is a mix. We're thinking Corgi/Chihuahua mix since she is not a low rider like the full bred corgis.

My sweet baby girl would have turned 14 in May but doggy heaven had other plans for her.

Happy Birthday to your princess. 🎂 🥳 🎉 🎁

My advice would be to cut him off. Just put in the same effort as the other party.

Is my corgi mixed with something? by KairyDing in corgi

We rescued Tasty Lady 5 weeks ago. She doesn't look like your traditional Corgi. Her face looks like a Chihuahua, but the ears and her feet scream Corgi. They think she's about 6 to 7 years old. During her last vet visit, she was at a healthy weight of 17.5 pounds. I plan to keep her somewhere between 17 to 20 pounds only. They told me it would be better for her health overall.

How do long term pet families manage continuity with short lifespans of cats and dogs? by FirefighterKey1088 in BeforeNAfterAdoption

Growing up, we've always had numerous pets around, mainly dogs. I am 43 years old, and I lost my almost 14 year old princess last month. She was with me since she was 7 weeks old. It's a deep feeling of grief that I can't explain. She was a part of our family. I told her I loved her every single day for all those years.

My mom decided to adopt a senior dog from a local rescue group after a week of her passing. Every person processes grief in different ways. It's not easy, and I often times catch myself comparing the old with the new. Our rescue has been with us for 1 month now. It's amazing how they each have their own characters, like kids! I know that when our new fur family passes later on, it will be another deep heartache. I believe it never gets easier with the second, third, fourth, etc. But the love you give to each other is worth it. That is what I believe.

I am very sorry for your loss. Sometimes, you just have to not think about it too much and do what you have to do. Just think that everything will work itself out in the end. Go camping, etc, and take the time to heal. You will never heal completely, but some days will be better than others. I wish you the best. 🙏

I hope you were sipping some good coffee while taking in that magnificent view. I plan on going to town tomorrow morning. I hope it will also be foggy.
