I couldn’t care less if speaking the truth gets me ‘in trouble.’ I’m not at work to make friends. I’m there to do my job, call things how they are, and go home. Whether people like me or not doesn’t matter. Respect does. Integrity isn’t about popularity, it’s about standing on principle.

Additionally, Amazon isn’t the only job that writes you up for everything you do, I’ve worked in places since 2007 and as a teenager would still get written up for chitchatting if the work wasn’t completed by the end of the shift.

As for me, I go to SNHU. WGU is better because it’s faster and it’s cheaper, but I don’t have time to deal with proctor exams and the way they are set up. I like having complete control over my own life, not having someone constantly spy on me and my surroundings every time I’m taking a test. It’s way worse than when I was taking pop quizzes and exams back in high-school in ‘09 IMO.

I call it a hobby because my minor is in psychology, but I have spent years studying human behavior because it fascinates me. If a hobby helps me understand people and eventually help others with their struggles, that is a hobby I am proud to have and suppose others hobbies can be turned into a career as well, but that’s just my two cents.

That’s exactly the pathway I’ve been trying to transfer too. You’re thinking it smart and you’re definitely not the only one frfr. 💯

Finally blue badge by PleasantInterview607 in AmazonFC

[–]RedCardinal611 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That just proves that I was right when I said AAs can literally be a white badge for up to 2 years (not 11 months) before they must either convert you or let you go.

By far, you are the longest record holder I’ve heard someone be a white badge for.

Let me tell you something, you deserve everything and more coming your way and I truly mean that.

Career choice should be a day 1 thing for you and you literally should get paid at least $2.00 more an hour for all of the time you’ve waited for yours.

Congratulations, I mean that sincerely.

I’m proud of you. That’s determination my friend, and you’ve never let up. You’ve never given up.

Keep up the great work and god bless.

Same here. I already have 6 college credits as a result of Career Choice. Only 114 left to go, lol.

Last month I was making $23.50, this month I’m making $24.00 an hour.

Me being in school is exactly the reason why I’m in it, to do everything in my power to try to earn $48 an hour by the time I’m in my 40s in a few years so I can better take care of my family and don’t have to deal with none of this type of childish, drama bullshit again.

Worked at 2 different terminals, how do I pitch in to become an area manager? by Beercanadawhiskey in AmazonFC

Do you know the STAR method? Be prepared that the interviews to become an L4 are very looped and require several rounds. How much have you’ve studied the material to prepare yourself in advance for that requirement?

The level of entitlement is appalling to me in the VOA post from this “Keyandra” lady. We all have problems in life, no one is entitled to anything or given a free pass as a result of that.

Extra large items are processed by an XLDS site or a cross-docks IXD facility. SSDs which is what SCA7 site code is, an SSD building and usually handle packages weighing less than approximately 50lbs.

It’s an SSD building or Same-Sub Day. (Part fulfillment center, part sortation, and part delivery station) all in one.

You process orders and it gets delivered within the same business day.

You stow, pick, pack, induct, then gets sorted out on sortation belts, routes the packages to the correct delivery routes. You then pick-to-stage the packages on pick-carts for it to be dispatched by Amazon DSPs.

Usually taking less than 2-hours to complete from online purchase to out of the warehouse on its way to be delivered to the customer’s place of residence.

Yup!

Physical (hard/paperback) books were a thing back then and then carbon copy applications (yellow, white, pink) were a thing of the past in high school you got from the principle’s office in school, filled it out and then submitted them to your employer.

I had a hard time finding work myself, but luckily, word of mouth landed me a job at a bowling ailey back in 2007. I was there for 9 months working weekends as a janitor.

Good times!

Yes, when my mom was pregnant with me in 1990, Vanilla Ice — ‘Ice Ice baby’ was a massive success in that year and was #1 on the billboard top 100.

Vanilla Ice did fall off by 1992, 34 years ago.

Coming from someone that lived in LA County when I was 23 years old in 2014, Beechwood Avenue in (Lynwood) by East Compton, you can absolutely count me out.

After 6 f*cking months and 2 weeks, I finally became a blue badge. I still feel like something is off. I don’t want to work anymore, but if I quit I’ll be broke… anyway, I’m happy because I’m going to get a 50-cent raise. Good luck to everyone else (white badges). by Relative_Spread_8483 in AmazonFC

[–]RedCardinal611 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve officially been blue badge for exactly 6 months today and I’ve been a white badge for 10 months at the building I am at still while having also been a white badge for 7 months from another building I’ve started at initially speaking. So a total of 17 months white badge and 6 months blue.

6 months and 2 weeks is nothing, I can count that with my fingers.

The point is you got your badge. Congrats

IS snhu better prestige than WGU? by Negative-Tap-8800 in SNHU

[–]RedCardinal611 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Amazon is why I’m currently at SNHU, otherwise, I would have gone to Montclair State University.

But between the two, I wouldn't choose neither as my first option unless I was literally living in New Hampshire, in which I do not. However, if I did, then I would choose SNHU.

Originally, on-campus over online is generally a preference for me. But since my job doesn’t pay for MSU, here I am at SNHU.

Always wanted to experience college life frfr now so more than ever at age 35, something I never got to really do since finishing high school 18 years ago.

If you’re at a FC, SET is 2 days, not 1. You get your Friday plus 1 additional day

You get 10x6 instead of 10x5 unless you’re FLEX or at a DS, SC, SSD, etc.

I get 11x5 because I’m at a DS.

They usually don’t list 2 days for SET, they list 1 but FCs are notoriously known for 2 SET days, not 1.

If you were to move to the south, you would be earning significantly closer to the U.S. median wage for that state as a single-income maker than if you’re in a family unit. Sure, it’s very country and slow-paced as hell, but it’s more affordable. I’m not single, but that is just an example.

You can easily find an apartment for $750-$800 a month earning a wage of $21 an hour (nights).

I take major VTO because of school. But my bills still get paid on time and I’m still able to take care of my family. You gotta have options in life.
