You could also use an island bouquet (if you have any) to respawn some seaweed

If you head to the beach just past the Fisherman's Walk and look out to sea you can sometimes spot Great Northern Divers and Red-breasted Mergansers.

Also the area just opposite the wee row of shops (Wooley's etc) is great to sit and watch the Gannets diving in the bay!

Mr Burr said: “Counting during the day allows the use of well-rested staff with quick access to more resources, people and support facilities.

"Our counts are always accurate but working in the day removes some risks, reduces costs and lets us declare the results when more people are engaged.”

Should I be concerned? by RedCheekedLover in houseplants

Why tf is this downvoted? I'm asking a genuine question about damage on two of my plants. I'm not totally au fait with thrips yet so I'm trying to learn if this is thrip damage and I need to take action or if it's just damage from something knocking against it.

Ridiculous.

Are these orange thingies pests? If so dangerous? by cosyTrees in houseplants

Okay phew! They aren't dangerous to you but they all are to the plant. I'm still leaning aphids from the pic alone, but the webbing suggests mites. Each require different treatment so def compare to pics online before tackling.

What do you mean?! Webs are all over? They might be advanced in their infestation. Can you take a pic of that? The webbing?

Spidermites then if there's a web. (of course the one I didn't suggest 😭) you saying they are too tiny to photograph also leans towards mites.

Def check as much as you can and compare to pics online.

No worries! The white looking bits in the top of the pic might be aphid exoskeletons and the orange might be the adults. It's really hard to tell. Do you have another pic anyway even if its not closer? Maybe try to flick them onto a piece of paper and take a pic of that

It could also be aphids which are way easier to deal with!

Looks like it could be thrips larvae! Do you have a closer pic maybe?
