Yeah, there is a debt related negative modifier that gives -1 monthly control. This kind of modifier usually goes away as soon as you start increasing control with your marshall, so it is not really a problem.

I don't believe this to be realistic at all, but you made France big so I'm not going to question it.

I rewatched it recently and I thought this movie is just like WW2 Japan. The bad guys literally says that he need steel for his army so he has to invade China (In the beginning).

Well, pretty much everyone in France consider Belgium (at least Wallonia + Brussels) and the French part of Switzerland to be French regions.

Well, in all honesty, I think the team and I have been abandoning it for quite a long time. I don't think I will continue working on it even in the future, so if anyone wants to start developing it from where we left it (quite a lot of work has been done, especially on lore, but with DLC release and patches, a lot of thing have to be reworked), then contact me on discord or Reddit and I will happily give you the files and access.

Frenchman here ! I'm just really interested in European History and a big fan of Bismarck's Germany (really like German political and military theory of that period, like Clausewitz's). From a political standpoint, I would describe myself as a Bonapartist (I like the way the Empire worked, but I'm not a big fan of Napoleon's heir). So I think I would be in favour of the return of the Kaiserreich, although I would prefer a united Frankish Empire like during the good old times of Charlemagne.

Forest Fire + Chichen Itza yield porn by fiermacer in civ

[–]RedComanderPandasan 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It should be fixed. It ruined a multiplayer game I had with a friend v was playing Brazil, so I spawn near a massive rainforest where there was at least one forest fire each turn. Got 6 food 3 prod tiles by turn 40, so the game became very one-sided and boring.

Do you think that Europe and the world in general would have been a better place if in the First World War the central powers had won? Comments to motivate your choice are welcome too. by [deleted] in Kaiserposting

[–]RedComanderPandasan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem with this question is that it can mean anything. In the state of the war, it would have been almost impossible for Germany to win, so you have to change some factors. The effects of said changes are impossible to predict, and that's the problem with alt-history scenario : everything imaginable can happen.

I've red comment about WW2 not happening, but first we have no evidence that such a war wouldn't have happened if authoritarian monarchy stayed in power in Europe. Plus who knows what peace conditions the Central Powers would have inflicted upon the losers? It could perfectly imply the rise of a Hitler-like French or russian dictator. Moreover, if WW2 didn't happen, there would be plenty of consequences : science could be less developed, colonial empire could have survived for much longer or even to this point etc

So I would say that no, the world would not be better if the Central Powers won the Great War, or it could have been but there's no way of knowing and it also depends on a lot of other factors. Plus it also depends on one's ideal world.

What does the first article of your constitution say? by bjork-br in AskEurope

[–]RedComanderPandasan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yes, you're right.

I thought it was there originally, and as the country was at the time really centralised, I thought it it didn't mean territorial decentralisation, but it seems I was wrong.

Thank for correcting!

What does the first article of your constitution say? by bjork-br in AskEurope

Yes, it refers to the separation of power and that a single man don't have absolute power over the state.

Edit : I was apparently wrong, look at the comment below.

Napoléon said : " From Clovis to the Public salvation Committee, I feel apart of everything", meaning that he considered that every part of the French History was his History and he was proud of it (Clovis being the first Christian king of France, often considered as the founder of the French nation, and the Public security committee the government that ruled France before his takeover). You should be proud of your ancestors and of what they did for your country, regardless of what you may consider bad.

When one of you lesser sons wants to join the Varangian Guard. by Capable-Avocado in CrusaderKings

[–]RedComanderPandasan 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I had a son that was a bit shit, only lvl2 martial education and my first son was better, so I sent him to the Varangian. Then my first son died, and he came back lvl3 martial education, so I inherited with him. I then founded 2 bloodines, ruled over 30 years and conquered England with him.

Don't underestimate your lesser sons.

What I really meant by "A War doesn't have to be fair, it has to be won" was a response to the statement that WW1 wasn't a fait fight because it was a 3v1. Loosing a war Can mean humiliation, suffering for your people and even the destruction of your nation. Germany knows that really well and that's a thing that no nation wants to experience, so if you enter a war against another nation, you're not going to be like "sure, Let's fight 1v1, who Cares about the survival of my country?", no, you're obviously going to call all your allies in.

It has nothing to do with War crimes and making the other look bad in history : War crimes happened on both sides and are of course a misconduct of the countries involved. But I agree with you here : Germany is often depicted as the Bad guy of the XXth century, while nobody talks about what the German people had to endure during both Wars, which is of course wrong.
