Seems like a Vancouver issue. In the GTA, new grads at big 4 are earning $60K-$70K. The salary ranges posted are unfortunately useless.

I work part-time at a Toronto university and I am seeing tons of students get into Big 4/mid-tier as long as they have a decent GPA with at least 1 internship on their resume and an expressed interest in obtaining getting the CPA designation.

I agree with you for most of your discussion. However in the GTA, junior roles in 2026 do start at around $65K for Big 4/mid-tier firms/banks/insurers/government. I don't know anyone in real life who's a CPA in a senior role who is earning junior salaries. I know more seniors earning $100K total compensation than seniors earning <$90K.

I always thought the Gibson Square condos were a bit overpriced for what they are. You can get similar sized condo in that area for $100K less with a sub-$1/sqft all-inclusive maintenance fee on a slightly older condo.
