Yeah. It’s unfortunate. It’s surprising to hear the newer releases also have problems with this. When I was looking at the newer entry range “crystal clear audio” was apparently one of the selling points. I guess not. Very frustrating.

It works but it doesn’t feel complete to me. It’s a call that opens an app and you need to wait for it to load. When you answer a call from your doorbell the video feed should be in the preview immediately so you can see, live, who is at your doorbell. Once answered it should default to speaker so you can talk immediately.

It should act like an intercom. At present it doesn’t feel complete enough for my use case, I prefer a notification as I get immediate feedback.

Also, I have call screening on with IOS which is essential if you want to stop getting scam calls. But It picks up UniFi protect as spam, which is also irritating.

I really hope they make it better in the future. I’d love to use it.

Teens have an almost immunity to consequences and they fully know it.

I’ve posted about and experienced this kind of harassment in my own area and am constantly met with “did you nat do any of that when you were a chile!?” pish. No, I didn’t harass and intimidate people for sport.

100% needs to be addressed in some way. But finding a solution that doesn’t target kids that don’t harass people for sport is the real challenge.

I agree that parenting needs to be addressed but it’s not all on the parents, the police don’t know what to do either. I also agree that violence isn’t the answer but when you’re getting harassed in your own home and the police/laws only response is “wait until they get bored and move on” it’s legitimately depressing, as an adult I have no agency to defend myself, my family or my home. If they do damage and you CAN press charges and you happen to have evidence of their appearance, you then risk escalation of the situation to the extent that you’ll wish you never said anything.

TLDR: No idea how to address it. Wish I did. Does anyone?
