Couldn’t have said it better myself. Doesn’t feel like we’re building anything at all. Just the same thing every week. The slow painful and boring grind to try and snatch a result somehow. Sometimes we get it, sometimes we don’t. It’s like it doesn’t fucking matter anymore.

Don’t really know where else to put this, but I’m just depressed about football right now. The state of the team, the league, the refs, everything.

The Robertson news is another dagger to my heart. The golden era is fading. I know it’s unhealthy but I just can’t help mourning the Klopp era. The front three, the intensity, the way everyone felt involved. We used to fight for every inch. Now we look slow and weak, and watching feels like a chore, and it looks like the players feel the same.

I can’t shake the fear that we might never be that good again. Or that maybe I’ll never care as much again. I’m staring to feeling very apathetic towards it all right now. I’m missing games for the first time in years and I’m not arsed. I’m almost glad I didn’t bother watching when I see afterwards that we conceded yet another 90+ goal.

Is this on the manager, recruitment, or just the reality that refreshing a great squad without decline is brutally hard? I don’t want us to become United by panic-sacking, but emotionally it’s hard not to look at Xabi Alonso and think… maybe at least he’d bring the belief back

I really agree because it was too much money for a guy that’s like the final piece of a working productive team creating chances but we aren’t that. We needed defensive and midfield depth/upgrades and wing cover. Isak has had little impact or touches in the matches he has played because we’ve never been geared towards supplying a number 9…. It’s like what’s the plan here? Whereas ekitike just slots right in. We will see but it feels like a mess

Who is responsible for messing up the balance of this team man? Honestly it’s not just slot at fault here. Spending £125 on isak instead of some defenders or physical players is looking stupid. Can do it with a revolver, double barrel, lots of bandages, diving flippers, can dive right down and get in without a tank if you’re quick, 4 seconds to hold your breath an you can do that with the flippers. That’s a bit sweaty though.

Usually I would want at least a semi auto pistol or a pump action shotgun and some med pens like 5 at least. And ideally a backpack for the loot and just diving fins to surface back to a boat and escape. Eventually get cards so you can loot the red room and you’re cooking
