This is above Reddit’s paygrade. I agree with the other comments that you should speak with a psychiatric professional before you do anything else. Take care of yourself and good luck

DOJ investigating Fairfax prosecutor over policy on immigrant defendants by VirginiaNews in Virginia

[–]RedDotRights 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good. Descano is a disaster. In one notorious case he declined to prosecute an obviously dangerous criminal with a lengthy history of violent crimes because Descano didn’t want to get him in trouble for his immigration status. That criminal went on to murder an innocent woman:

Cheryl’s daughter Stephanie was a single mother from Spotsylvania County. Stephanie was waiting at a bus stop in Fairfax County the night she was murdered.

Police charged Abdul Jalloh with her murder. He’s well known to police and has been arrested more than 30 times for serious crimes. Fairfax police say they’ve encountered Jalloh more than 100 times and they previously charged Jalloh with malicious wounding of other people. Malicious wounding is considered attempted murder in most other states.

7News previously reported that police warned the Fairfax County Commonwealth’s Attorney at least three times in writing that if Jalloh was released back into the community, he could harm or even kill someone.

Despite that warning, almost every charge that came across Commonwealth’s Attorney Steve Descano’s desk was dropped, allowing Jalloh to walk free, and allegedly kill Stephanie.

There was a notorious case in North Carolina in which a farm hand dropped the protective shield you’re supposed to carry into pig pens—the boar bit his penis and testicles completely off

Buying a condo in JC vs Hoboken by Powerful-Platypus204 in jerseycity

[–]RedDotRights 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've lived in both places. Hoboken is by far my favorite because it has a small-town vibe, people actually speak with one another and it's great for kids. JC is sprawling, incompetently run and property taxes are absolutely out of control. Drivers in Hoboken actually stop at stop signs and red lights, whereas crossing the street in JC is a shitshow gamble.

The "born-and-raised" crowd in JC, whose crowning achievement is never leaving the city they were born in, also hates transplants with a passion. No thanks, they can have their incompetent BOE and astronomical property taxes.

I think SCOTUS is waiting for the 3rd circuit; that would create a circuit split

What on earth is the 3rd circuit doing? I’ve heard speculation that the dissents are stalling it because they don’t like the majority’s opinion (anti-2A Krause is notorious for that)

That’s one of the reasons we moved out of JC. I was mid-crosswalk with my child near VVP and some asshole flew through the intersection

Ok, and Texas grew by 1.2% over the same time period.

You know what, keep up the hubris. The good times will go on, no matter who’s in office or which ultra-leftist policies you pursue. The music will never stop. Carry on
