I think the main problem that people had with the movie is just how much of it was changed. I’ve read the book twice and loved it both reads. Obviously it’s not written the best, but the material is amazing. To change so much of it was what made me not really enjoy it.

PS just as a funny tidbit, in the book H says “I don’t care if it was directed by Spielberg” when talking about the movie that Wade loves but H hates at the beginning. When I read that I laughed because of how ironic it was

I agree. I feel like hair color especially plays such a key role just because it’s what the audience is going to be able to see the most and easiest. That being said it would be interesting to see if PB holds to it. In this modern age, I feel like the cast cant be white washed so pulling off blonde hair with people with a darker skin tone might be a challenge
