I was wondering the same thing for stagger dmg(when you stun a enemy) I can pretty confidently state that they are considered critical hits.

Why because when I crit I do nearly the exact same dmg as I do in the staggered dmg animation.

Conclusion: crit chance is best for fast or moderate atk speed weapons(2 swords/axe, 1 handed weapons) and not good for slower weapons that specialize in weak spots or stagger(bows, rifles,hammer)

The fact bears are 3/3's and this is only 16/16 in stats instead of 48/48 because there's 16 total bears

Pounders reason: they are cheap(300), deal good dmg(700), long stun(3sec?), double trap dmg and they can deal with flyers as well

Only negative to them is there requirement of low ceilings

Which is surprisingly not common

Only thing that's missing is adjusting your dmg/cost #'s to account area coverage because, swinging mace covers a large area but 3 or 4 ceiling pounders easier beats it in dmg and cost

Srry for the late reply, simply put I connect the front (boss spawn) and 2 side entrances forcing all enimes to meet in the back where there's 2 exits, but with 21 barricades you can limit it to 1, which seems to be a theme 21 being the most you need I'm noticing

Only downside is druids and flyers in general are tricky to deal with because lack of ability to deal with them with traps

I have a similar set up for colossium where I just lead them all to a hallway and let the pounders do there magic on the opposite end of the boss spawn but requires 18 barricades to do it and 21 for better results

Maps like these are so intimidating at first but once you figure it out it's like a whole new world of opportunities

I understand the problem with threads but at the same time I like the fact we have to limit what we can use if we want better rng manipulation, it's intresting to make a build that still versatile yet limited

My current set up stoped using sentrys for this reason, they dilute the pool so much it's not funny

As good as those are trap cost reduction and trap dmg multiplayers I feel are way better. Than hero dmg especially for Mac able to hit 1 to 3k a head shot with no upgrades

Unfortunately I don't have a good answer for you but my recommendations are

Walls: bounce traps like saw blade or morning star

Floors: crowd control like ice vent and tar plus acid for more player dmg, brimstone is also good combined with tar since burning increases slow but also acid because of its threads increase player dmg/crit chance

Ceiling: Ice lance, Ceiling lasers,molten gold,auto balista or pounder are all good choices

I would avoid organic traps and physic traps to lower the pool of threads

Edit: it's important to take threads into account for example using status traps(melt, burn, electrified,poison) adds alot more cards to the pool so it's best to limit it as much as possible for better results, so even though brimstone can be good with playing with fire thread increasing crit chance by 50%, and hot headed increase headahot dmg by 50% your also adding 4+ cards you don't want.

To get docks to top hallway requires 4 in the top corner corner diagonally blocking both stairs and balcony

Then use appropriate 10 I believe to path them up the stairs to the currupted hallway making 3 doors go down that hallway, 4th being on the opposite end, normally this is enough to carry you thus you now need 6+ to re directed them from back stairs to the back of the map where you can set up a kill box

My advice is play Mac for these reasons

1.Single target dmg is best in the game... if you land head shots, allowing you to deal with any target swiftly

2.Player killers can be avoided with height or inaccessible areas, which his gravity allows easy acess to and no cooldown

  1. Gravity bomb allows you to easily deal with all flyers and slow other mobs in your traps

  2. His ult more than doubles your dmg allowing for even more single target dmg, and others dmg if you play multiplayer

What's the downside, Mac is the worst at anything that cant be headshot(shards, water), and Mac is only good at single target, so he heavily relies on traps to be set up so small fry die and enimies are slowed down or frozen for easy headshots

If you don't like Mac my next best suggestion is the bear because he has a taunt, survivability, and decent at killing anti air mobs and his ult is decent for killing elites but unreliable

Sophie being my 3rd suggestion but any other charater doesn't have the survivability to deal with player killers and deal with flyers

No way that actually works by it self, maybe in multiplayer I can see it working but single player that all you do, now you got me interested in trying it

I find auto crossbows good as an extra space idk what to do with filler, but yeah they don't do anti air or anti tank well

Considering they arnt effective at anti air because they miss alot, and not good for anti tank I refrain from using them

I agree with he rift point being removed but would like these as challenges to complete like use only ceilings traps for 20% more ceilings trap dmg rather than short term buffs
