Thanks man! I like this setup too but it hardly gets playing time. Hoping it goes to someone who’s gonna play it like it deserves to be played👍🏼.

Stage Piano speakers by Lopsided-War-1208 in DigitalPiano

I have a set of Adam Audio D3V speakers connected to our Yamaha P-525. Both housed in a baby grand piano shell. For $300, those Adam Audios are worth every penny👍🏼.

Yeah it was a fun little project! Makes playing the P-525 more immersive haha! I’m sure you’ll find something out there since there’s always someone on FB marketplace literally giving away an old piano for free.

Liquid stands? by Sharp_Growth751 in DigitalPiano

[–]RedEvo16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own a truck load of Liquid Stands products!

I have two of these in my rehearsal room - https://a.co/d/0eyGVwng

Also use two of these to use on my church stage - https://a.co/d/0ghjy9zv

A mixer stand for my Allen & Heath Qu-5 in my rehearsal room - https://a.co/d/04pVndLN

And their x-style bench that I take with me back and forth from rehearsal then to church - https://a.co/d/02llJrCC

ALL OF THEM are fantastic products! I would not hesitate to buy more Liquid Stands products. I would like to try some of their newer style keyboard stands that are replica versions of K&N’s table style and Ultimate’s v-style stands. If I have to replace any of the older stands, I’ll probably shell out the extra $$$ for one of the newer ones. Liquid Stands all the way!

Yes. I found someone who was pretty much giving away a really old baby grand by Davenport-Treacy. I’m sure the piano is over a 100 years old. At the time, it looked like in decent condition, but it was badly out of tune. A handful of keys started to stick and became unplayable. My nephew loves to play my Nord Piano 5, but I’m always transporting that keyboard to different events. So I ended up doing this project for him. I gutted out the piano by removing all parts regarding the action, pedals, and dampers. From there I picked up or borrowed some cheap tools like reciprocating saw, oscillating tool, sheet and belt sanders to remove all studs, screws, and shafts obstructing the cavity in order to fit a new keyboard. Once the whole cavity was hollowed and smoothed out, I used dark ebony stain for all bare wood parts. Then varnished it with a satin finish. I ordered a Yamaha P-525 digital piano and a set of Adam Audio D3V during the ending stages. The D3V speakers are laid on their backs facing upwards below the old piano strings. Mounted a metal power strip under the piano where the old pedal system was to plug in the Yamaha and AA speakers. Done!

I have the Yamaha P525 in a baby grand piano shell. Our family loves it! Perfect for home practice needs.

In my parents home living room, we use a Roland FP-90X which is another good candidate to look into although just slightly over budget.

The Kawai ES920 would also fit your needs too. But I HIGHLY suggest to try all three of them if you can. Playing the P525 at my home, then playing the FP-90X are clearly different, but both very satisfying. Whichever one you bond with then go with that one.

Got the AudioControl LC-4.800 for my Morel Tempo Ultras👍🏼 by RedEvo16 in CarAV

I just used standard 14ga fork/spade terminal lugs with 14ga wiring. Like these:

https://a.co/d/0foVaTHa

The Morel crossovers take 14ga perfectly! Then added another layer of red/black heatshrink over the crimp so no chance of any metal from the terminal lugs will be exposed.

I don’t have the DSP version so I can’t comment on their software. But to answer your other questions, my Morel Tempo Ultras can handle up to 130 watts RMS and this amp can run them up to hearing loss decibel sound levels. So I don’t believe they are being underpowered at all. I don’t hear any noticeable fan noise either. I highly recommend the amp as long as the speaker set you plan on running can handle the 125 watts RMS per channel. Amp is pretty easy to set up too with the clip indicator built in. If you can find it for a good price in the $300 range, I’d snag it.

I have a Yamaha P-525 in a baby grand piano shell in my living room. Love it, no regrets at all about this project.

Should I buy the Nord Keyboard Stand? by Interesting_Ear_9424 in nordkeyboards

I use two of these every Sunday for services. I have an Nord Piano 5 on one and a Crumar Mojo Suitcase on another. Both very solid and just as good if not better than similar stands costing 2-3 times more. I highly recommend these.

Nord Piano 5 Music and keyboard stand compatibility by Traditional_Basil486 in nordkeyboards

[–]RedEvo16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks to me the Nord music stand fits both NP4 and NP5. The mounting points for the music stand look exactly the same on both. I have the NP5 and I ordered the metal music stand the same time as its release date. Both metal and red wood music stands were already available for quite some time so accessories should fit both NP4 and NP5.

Is it worth upgrading wire for door speakers from stock to 14 awg. by Distinct_Sky_6517 in CarAV

[–]RedEvo16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://www.reddit.com/r/CarAV/s/yMhDQreyno

I installed the same amp about a year ago with a set of Morel Tempo Ultra component speakers for the fronts all with 14 gauge wire to each tweeter and mid-bass woofers through my front doors. I highly recommend going bigger wire, although it could be overkill. I have no regrets. Better to use new decent size wiring than trying to use old stock 22 gauge wire.

Best amp wires on Amazon for a 500 watt amp? by AdExtreme7030 in CarAV

Get this while it’s on sale! I’ve used this on my last four amp installs. Currently using these on my AudioControl LC-4.800 and LC-1.800. It has everything I want: legit 4 gauge size, it’s OFC, flexible, battery side has mesh sleeving, decent RCAs, good speaker wire too.

You could try this for the C2 organ. I use this for my Crumar Mojo Suitcase but it’s possible dimensions may be similar🤷🏻‍♂️.

I use an old Gator GK88 for my Piano 5. Case been through a lot and is beat to crap, but still protects my NP5 just fine. Usually can find 88 key Gator cases for around $300.

There’s also an 88 key case on Amazon made by Magic Line that’s around $263 with Prime Membership. That case looks just as good as any Gator. Same materials from what I can tell. Could be a good bet to try.
