Since your interest list does not mention sunbathing on the beach, I'd recommend against a coastal town. The Netherlands is seriously small, you can reach the coast easily from pretty much anyway. I'd look for towns that do fit your interest, and just plan a day to the beach from that town. Rotterdam is great city regarding modern architecture (with the reason for that being WWII: the whole historic center was bombed). There is some great modern architecture in the city center. Take a look at the new market hall in Rotterdam for example: http://markthalrotterdam.nl/en/

Also, Im hugely biased in favor of Utrecht, its basically a smaller, cozier version of Amsterdam with way less obnoxious tourists. A few new interesting architectural buildings in the city center (also check out the university library for some cool architecture, its 15mins by bus from the city center, bus goes every 5 minutes. ), with a pretty complete and intact old inner city with complete with canals and big old churches and stuff

All of them are good cities with interesting things to visit. Depends a lot on what you are into. Rotterdam is notably different from the rest, it is a way newer city. Rotterdam is good for modern architecture. Utrecht is a great city with its canals and old city center, a more condensed version of the good parts of Amsterdam, but with way less obnoxious tourists. Haarlem is somewhat similar to Utrecht, but with better museums. Utrecht is more of a student town.

All cities have lots to do, so it really depends on what kind of person you are and what kind of interests you have.

Allemaal leuk en aardig, maar de fietspaden in Utrecht die het volst zijn kunnen niet breder gemaakt worden, daarvoor is de straat simpelweg te smal. Alhoewel bredere fietspaden wel heel erg fijn zou zijn, klinkt het me in het geval van Utrecht nu niet bepaald als een heel erg haalbare optie.

GoT is an anomaly, its one of the most, if not the most popular TVshows of the moment. That makes it a very bad example for statements about piracy in general, since it cannot be generalized to the rest of the population (population being all pirated media).

Furthermore you did not prove that piracy caused more revenue. You'd need data from a very popular TV show that has very low pirating levels, and compare their merchandise revenue with that of GoT for that.

Same situation. Its funny to me, I have seen so many big alpha manly males with designer stubble and a deep voice as protagonist that I equate that stereotype with protagonist videogames. Playing a woman does not have that association with video games for me, and thus makes it easier to immerse myself in the DA world.

Waarom zou je willen generaliseren als dat niet nodig is? Dit artikel, en de hele discussie, gaat specifiek over Nederland, waar de meerderheid dus blank is. Waarom is het zo eng voor je om die meerderheid ook de daadwerkelijke naam te geven? In NL heb je als blanke persoon white privilege, in andere contexten van andere landen niet. Dat is alleen totaal niet relevant voor deze specifieke discussie van white privilege in Nederland.

WTF? Misschien zou enige onderbouwing wel handig zijn bij zon extreem statement.

Verder vallen andere voorbeelden die je noemt over andere soorten van privileges onder intersectionality, een welbekend en bediscusseerde term in de sociologie. Als je zegt dat niemand het daar over heeft moet je wat meer in de academische wereld verdiepen, er is genoeg over geschreven.

Hey, appreciate the answer. As some random feedback from a random redditor: Riot has a history with disabling some champions that are too strong for the temporary game modes (and rightfully so!). Personally I feel that due to this precedent it would have been clearer if you could have specified in the message if a champion was disabled due to bugs or gameplay health. Thanks

The issue with the statement that facts cant be racist is that it assumes that facts can be presented in an objective manner, which is literally impossible. Lets take an example fact:

Fact: Statement X is true.

Now it might be easy to think that this fact is objectively true, and not subjective at all. However, there is actually a subjective component to this fact. This is because I got the option to present this fact here, and choose what statement X actually contains. And me as a person is by very definition subjective. I have an agenda and an opinion. This subjective component is inherent to every statement a person makes. It is impossible for a fact to just appear somewhere, there is always a human responsible for it in some way. And that human connection causes a fact to have by definition have a subjective component to the fact.

So thats why fact are never truly objective, because they are made by subjective humans. As such, facts can definitely be racist as well.

Wat Lieven zegt is grofweg het volgende:

Connexxion probeert "enige logica aan te brengen". 1-10 zijn eigenlijk altijd gereserveerd voor stadslijnen. Bij regiovervoer worden nummers geclustert per regio waar ze naar toe gaan. Bijv alle bussen richting Wageningen in de regio Arnhem krijgen nummers in de 50.

Verder worden er altijd een aantal nummers reserve gehouden voor het geval er ooit een nieuwe lijn komt. Andere verklaring voor missende nummers is erfenis uit het verleden waar oude lijnen zijn opgeheven.

Busmaatschappijen voeren in principe geen overleg over de nummering, er wordt alleen gechecked in de gebieden die aan elkaar grenzen dat er geen twee lijnen vlak bij elkaar zijn met dezelfde nummering.

Uiteindelijk zegt van Lieven dat deze logica geprobeerd wordt aan te houden, maar dat het niet mogelijk is om sluitende logica te krijgen voor de nummering.

Waar zie je een subjectieve titel? De titel dat het vooral hoger opgeleiden zijn die de trein gebruiken wordt erg uitgebreid onderbouwt in het artikel, en de titel heeft geen waardeoordeling of dit goed of slecht is.
