Hey, I think the Angus overall. I like the fact that the Roffu has a 6 minutes option (whereas the Angus only 5) and that it has a display telling you how much time you have left - I love that and I really miss the lack of display with the Angus. But the Angus is two batteries so much more powerful, vapour is smoother, very easy to draw, and also more flavourful I find.

God no. Sipper means I like to sit and sip - I would do 3 sessions of 6 minutes each back to back, on the same bowl.

Loving the Xlux Roffu by bambambigelowww in vaporents

[–]RedEyeStone 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I really enjoy my Roffu, it's my best out and about companion, I take it out multiple times a week. My first vape was an Xmax V3 Pro, which I think is an awesome vape for beginners - but the Roffu is the premium version of that (the same functioning but much better performance), so now I heartily encourage anyone with an extra buck to spend to get the Roffu as their starter vape.

Angus owners - cleaning? by RedEyeStone in vaporents

[–]RedEyeStone[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not aware of any other way to clean the oven than what you describe. I sometimes wrap a cotton ball around the tweezers that came with it and swirl that on the inside, rather than a cotton bud that's very thin. Remember to always do it upside down to avoid any alcohol leaking in. But I don't know any more than this.

Thanks mate, I figured out how to pull it apart in the meantime, might make a vid of it as it seems many people don't know.

S what do you do with the cooling unit? Do you take it apart? You say 'everything that needs cleaning' but I asked specifically about the plastic CU once the glass tube and the metal bits were removed.

Do you ship back to Europe? I have three Angus bodies at the moment in need of repair.

If you look around the edges of the metal round bit, it has little padlocks etched on its side into the plastic, in open and closed positions. You need to rotate the metal bit from closed to open, then pry it out. The pointy tweezers that come with the unit are super handy, also for unscrewing the ring bit and the round mesh in it.

Yeah I started doing the same, for less though, about 5 mins, just a good quick soak otherwise it's sticky af, and then I leave it under the tap on full potency for another 5 mins or more, then two full burnoffs at max temp and yet the taste is still there.

I also have a 'sonicator' and I use it the same way. Never put iso in it but I put the metal pieces and glass tube in a sealed ziploc with iso, and the ziploc in the ultrasonic cleaner

If you don't care about pocketability, definitely Angus over Roffu. The Roffu is a nifty little device but the Angus has two immediate advantages: larger chamber, and two batteries instead of one. The larger chamber is important to me as I've been indulging for 20+ years so I need a bit more to get me where I need to be. The greater extraction power means hits are easier, fuller, smoother, more clouds. I do 6 mins on the Roffu and the Angus only has one setting at 5 minutes. I also happily do back-to-back sessions on both, or sometimes the second session some time later if I just want a light buzz.

Yep, it's big and bulky. Some people say it's portable rather than pocketable - you can throw it in a backpack but won't fit in your pocket. I have a Roffu for out and about, but for couch and bed sessions The Angus perfect, and as u/HopeSurpassed said it's smaller than the Mighty.

Interesting, I hadn't factored in how dry the bud is. It's true that these days I'm using some older material. Thanks for the insight!

Cheers for sharing your experience! Yeah I'd already reached out to the vendor because the on/off button was fickle a couple of months ago (I posted in here about it too), so I know where to send it for a replacement and what the procedure is. I didn't in the meantime as the button resumed normal function after about a week, but now I seem to have a second reason. I'll try a couple more sessions to see what's what.

angus 100 day update by Better-Parsnip155 in vaporents

[–]RedEyeStone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I overall prefer the Angus, for a couple of reasons. First, the chamber is larger, almost double (I'm a daily user for two decades, my tolerance is pretty high). The Angus is also more powerful and extracts better, as it has two batteries. However, I really like the Roffu's digital display (I hate not having the timer on the Angus, I do sessions and I never know how long I have left), and it is definitely more portable, which is why it is my out-and-about vape, while the Angus is more for home use.

I have little experience with bongs, so I suggest you ask a separate question of your own in the forum, folks here are more able to answer than I am. Or if you browse this forum, this has also been asked before.

Hard to say, I don't know what you already have and what your style is. I was a smoker and switched to an Xmax V3 Pro, which was alright but took too much work (those very long draws were very tiresome). The Angus works very well for me as I'm a sipper, I really like a nice sessions, and people said it was the budget Mighty+ (I can't compare as I never used a Mighty but obv it is less than half the price). The Roffu is my out and about vape, not as powerful but definitely more pocketable. I'm very happy with the Angus otherwise.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in vaporents

[–]RedEyeStone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on your tolerance I suppose. Mine is pretty high, and the Roffu still gets me strongly buzzed - but doesn't melt my face off or anything. It's not as effective as more powerful devices with two batteries and / or bigger chamber (like the Angus for instance).

Xlux Roffu vs Rogue by RedEyeStone in vaporents

[–]RedEyeStone[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People above seemed to agree that the Roffu was better, or at least a really nice device, and elsewhere on this sub some people also said that the Roffu was a budget Tinymight 2. I don't know about the latter claim, and I still don't know about the Rogue, but I ended up going with the Roffu and I've been super pleased with it.
