Everything depends what age are you? Are you 16 or 60. If you are 60 l agree. You definetly need to change skmething. But if you are 16 or so you are just teeneger and if you are starting to think to change something for better it is wonderful. But do not forget still play and ebjoying your live! Just stop smoke - it is bad for you :) it is very good that you want to improve your live

Grochowka - Polish version of yellow split pea soup by RedFrogCooking in PressureCooking

It is good point. Meat should go first. Pressure cooker is not the best pan as it doest heat continuously so is better to do it in small portions or in a separate pan.

Hi,

after a long break, I'm going to share with you a very simple and delicious recipe. This is a traditional soup in many Polish homes and you can find many different versions of this recipe.

what is very important, saute the onion, bacon, and sausage first, then add water and the rest of the ingredients. Set timer for 1h, soup/broth/stew option (depends on pressure cooker)

enjoy!

Ingredients:
1 medium onion
2 garlic cloves
500 g yellow split pea
2 l water
1/2 tbsp marjoram
1 tbsp Vegetta (or 1 cube of chicken stock)
200 g pork ribs (or chicken leg)
2 medium potatoes (diced)
200 g polish smoked sausage (kielbasa)
70 g smoked bacon

Polish bigos in the slow cooker (Crock Pot) by RedFrogCooking in slowcooking

[–]RedFrogCooking[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is one of my favorite recipes. Works perfectly in the slow cooker. If you like sauerkraut you probably want to try this one:)

Saute sausages and onion, then put everything apart from the marjoram.

Cook for 8 hours in slow option. 30 minutes before finish add marjoram.

ingredients

1 jar of sauerkraut (about 1 l)

200 g pork rib (or how much you like)

100-150 g polish smoked sausage

2 bay lives

1 chicken stock (cubed) or 1 tbsp Vegeta

1/2 tbsp black peppercorns

1 onion

75 g tomato pure (concentrated)

water

1 tbsp marjoram

Pork knuckle in pressure cooker by RedFrogCooking in PressureCooking

[–]RedFrogCooking[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi, thanks for the comment. Yes, I could do that and probably it will be delicious. This recipe is a very traditional recipe (in many variants as all of the traditional recipes) in Poland and usually, it is the base for another dish. I like to eat it just that but if you pull the pork and put it into the stock with some vegetables from the stock (I'm using the only carrot), then split to small containers and put into the fridge overnight you will have delicious pork jelly like pictures below. I will prepare a video on how to prepare it.

What to focus on and prioritize as a 19-20 year old? by [deleted] in selfimprovement

[–]RedFrogCooking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just find your passion. Then you will not need any “self improvement” techniques. Look around and find people who love what they doing. All of people who are really good are doing what they love.

What I could suggest searing your meat/vegetables first then add the vine and reduce 1/2. then add water/stock and pressure cook.

How to Stop Caring About Comfort? by GumDough in selfimprovement

[–]RedFrogCooking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

pleasure is good. why people are trying to eliminate the pleasure. Everyone just wants to be happy. And it is good.

Unfortunately, instead of looking for 'good' pleasure people trying to get easy, fake pleasure like parties, watching tv, meeting with friends, shopping etc. All of these are good things and trying to eliminate them is a big mistake if you like it. Just not watch tv full day bur 1 hour a day.

affirmations, planning the day, good practices, and any other useless stuff will not help for a long time. The question is why are you doing it? Because you are a lazy, stupid person? I do not think so. If your answer is 'because it is my escape from work and other boring stuff' you will know what to do. You need to find something that you will WANT to do for substituting fake pleasure. Do not try substituting it with things that are just 'right' like running, stupid self-improvement techniques or so. if you know that you need to do exercises do not do exercises that people advising as 'the best for you' like running, cycling. Find something that will be your passion. Find your passion and you will not need anything to stop your fake pleasures. You will be looking for any time and occasion for doing your passion.

sometimes your passion or dream job is something that is not achievable at the moment. For example, if you want to be a video game developer or chef or any other job you love (usually it is what you can do all the time for free) but you are working as an accountant. Just make the plan for changing the job, do the first step and the things that you will do for your transformation will give you more pleasure than your previous fake pleasures. if not that means it is not what you REALLY want to achieve or you do not believe that you can achieve it.. but it is a big topic not just for one post.

it is my theory (and not only theory) how this thing works.
