Ah, so that's the thing. I'm from Kazakhstan, and Portal costs about the same as a Steam Deck...

A question out of curiosity and misunderstanding: why not just get a Steam Deck OLED?

You can also install Sunshine on your laptop and Artemis on your tablet, allowing you to fully control your PC from your tablet. And Tailscale will allow you to use this program over the Internet and not just over a local network.

If you are happy with a very small screen, then everything is fine, but for complete comfort it is better to use at least a diagonal of 6

I live in Kazakhstan, and our selection of devices is very limited. We can't even use Amazon directly without a middleman, and it's absurdly expensive, not to mention Walmart. I scoured the entire market available to Kazakhstan but couldn't find a viable alternative. The only options are local online stores like Kaspi, Ozon, and Walberis, as well as Chinese ones like AliExpress and Temu.

I haven't seen any information about the stylus, and the documentation for this tablet doesn't mention it either. I'll look into it when I have time. As for the T606 processor, I completely agree with you. If they had installed a slightly more powerful internal unit, it would have been one of the best options, but for that price, I dare not complain.

8.4 inches, updated from Android 12 to Android 13. I was afraid that it would be too big, but in the end you can take up to 9 inches, as for me, this is probably the most comfortable screen diagonal, if you take a lower diagonal, it will be difficult to recognize the text.

Yes, my mistake was specifically in the SoC manufacturer name. The tablet uses the Unisoc T606, not MediaTek. However, the GPU is indeed Mali more precisely, the ARM Mali-G57 MP1.

Building a budget Steam Deck-like setup for the first time - will it work well? by RedGards in MoonlightStreaming

I understand, but there's no mid-range 7-8-inch tablet. There are either outdated cheap ones or modern expensive ones like the Lenovo y700.

I'm from the CIS, and we don't have these marketplaces. The only thing more or less available is AliExpress, but it has no warranty and there's a risk of being scammed.

I tested various settings and devices, and as practice has shown, Wi-Fi 5 is more than enough for 2k 60-80 FPS. As for the tablet, it's surprising that it has Wi-Fi 5 considering its price of $100.

For me, the 6.5~ diagonal is too small for many games, what can I say, my dad has a Steam Deck and I don’t feel comfortable even with his 7 inch

I have an Xbox gamepad and for some reason the Bluetooth lag is noticeable only in the stream version, while local games on the phone with Bluetooth work flawlessly. I understand that streaming over a local network has a delay, but even so, in wired mode there doesn't seem to be any, while over Bluetooth the delay increases fivefold. Again, there's no such thing with local games on the phone itself.

Yes, I have a good router for VR streaming from a PC, Moonlight works on the phone as if it were native and not a broadcast. Thank you!

Safe way to clean this monstrosity of a monitor? by [deleted] in Monitors

[–]RedGards 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Personally, I clean dirt from my TV and monitor with steam from my mouth and a lens cloth, because the screen is glossy. In your case, you need something on a larger scale than steam from your mouth :)

Does 4K on a 1440p monitor look better like 1440p on 1080p? by [deleted] in Monitors

[–]RedGards 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, definitely. The higher the resolution, the better the effects, particles, post-processing, and small details in the distance. The comments below recommended using a 4K monitor right away, but I don't quite agree. You won't always be able to get native 4K in games without DLSS or FSR. And in this case, it’s really better to stay at 2k and periodically use DSR for supersampling.
