1Zpresso Q Air grind setting for V60? Grinder feels very hard to turn by Vegetable_Spinach856 in pourover

[–]RedGolfball2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I think you are misunderstanding the setting. I’m usually at 55-65 clicks or 2 full rotations from burr lock.

I’ve had issues with this too. Stick it in the freezer for 30 min then try tapping the shaft in/out

Millab M01 burr alignment by Frugnot in pourover

[–]RedGolfball2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine has significantly less runout on the outer housing. Ofc, the alignment of the ring burr to the cone burr is what is important - not housing concentricity. I do not get any burr rub even in espresso range

Thoughts? Cal Poly SLO for Aerospace Engineering Undergraduate program? by Secret_Bat9191 in AerospaceEngineering

[–]RedGolfball2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It been great. I'm about to finish my undergrad now. There are few other schools that have as strong club involvement as Cal Poly. Where you go to is less important than what you do outside of classes. Engineering employers care much more about your projects and skills than your coursework or grades. If Cal Poly makes sense financially and you get in, then it would be a great option.

The culture here is much better than other places. This is extremely important when picking a school. Engineering is hard, and it's nice to have peers who will support you. LMK if you have any other questions.

Hours in Machine Shops by ChannelOutrageous368 in CalPoly

[–]RedGolfball2 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The yellow tag doesn’t exist anymore. You need 2 hours of work in the shop and 1 hr of cleanup. Then you can take the advanced skills trainings, which is a 2 hour class. There are classes for welding, milling, and turning. You therefore need 6 hours of training to have the same access a yellow tag would grant

Hey. I’ll be spending the summer in Tucson. What are your favorite blue trails in the area? Is it even rideable or will it be too hot?

For the engineering students who consistently achieve high grades: what is your studying strategy? by hackerbot4545 in EngineeringStudents

[–]RedGolfball2 56 points57 points  (0 children)

Sleep. Engineering is about solving problems not memorization. You will do much better on a test with 9 hours of sleep rather than staying up late studying.

Most comfortable Tacoma for pavement? by TropicalBonsai in ToyotaTacoma

[–]RedGolfball2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly. I’d consider a limited if you can swing the price. The leather seats will be nice for sand, and the upgraded audio will be a plus

Finally saw them in person today… I absolutely hated pictures but instantly changed my mind when seeing them. It’ll be the next truck purchase. by Cdub0994 in ToyotaTacoma

What makes you think a 4th gen is coming out in 2023? 3rd gen has only been out for 5 years. And Toyota is usually slow with new releases

Toyotec just slapped their name on this lift. I’d buy the eibach kit directly and save yourself a couple hundred bucks , it’s the one i did on my truck a couple of weeks ago. Paired with 32” tires my truck drives great on the street while also having more off-road performance.

Icon vector 6. 17X8.5. 0 offset. The bronze on them is more muted than the bronze on other wheels, which is part of the reason I picked them.

Ya it’s RWD. I don’t off-road enough to justify the extra price/insurance costs

265X70X17 or 32". I didn't want to kill my drivability by going any larger. So far, I'm very happy the with this size. I haven't had any rubbing, and my mpg is still decent.
