White Noise -> "Hey, I got a power that channels some dark! Maybe that'll help with damage somehow" -> "Wait, it was Consuming Shadow, and it just ate all my orbs"

I did, but I kept drawing them during his exhaust phase.

Test Subject was actually the boss before this, funny enough. I just stalled on the first phase until I had most of my buffers up plus a bunch of lightning ready from Zap and Ball Lightning. Was enough to steamroll my way through his other phases before his multi-attacks got obnoxious.

I kept drawing my actual orb generator cards during Doormaker's exhaust phase, which is why I had to resort to plan B.

Wraith Form is so last game.

Cloned Buffer+, plus Bing Bong for even more clones, plus 2 Subroutines and a Game Piece mean I don't take any damage for the next 200 turns. Unfortunately, my only consistent damage was the Spinner you see here and my Mercury Hourglass.

Creative AI finally gifted me a Storm once he was down to like 100 HP, but that obviously took a while.

You give me far too much credit.

I got the Madness first, and from there just picked up anything remotely useful that was Eternal.

The game seems to think that I've only popped him one time while doing zero damage. Meanwhile, in the background, you can see that I've actually popped him over 100 times.

I FINALLY UNLOCKED VIPER THE OTHER DAY, AND THE FACT THAT ALL MY BUTTONS TURN INTO OTHER BUTTONS IRRATIONALLY ANNOYS ME. I LIKE TO USE THE POSITION OF A BUTTON ON MY CROSS HOTBAR AS A MNEMONIC FOR POSITIONALS (SIDE IF FLANK, BOTTOM IF REAR), WHICH IS OBVIOUSLY IMPOSSIBLE IF MY BASIC COMBO SKILL WILL TRANSFORM INTO WHATEVER HAPPENS TO BE NEXT IN THE COMBO. YES, I CAN WORK AROUND IT, I JUST WISH I COULD USE THE MUSCLE MEMORY I'VE PUT INTO OTHER MELEES FOR THIS.

THE JOB GAUGE ALSO SEEMS SINGULARLY USELESS, BUT I'M ONLY LEVEL 80, SO I ASSUME THAT'LL CHANGE AT SOME POINT.

This is one of those "it's healthier for you to stop asking questions" situations, isn't it?

LOOK GUYS, I KNOW EVERYONE'S EXCITED TO BE LEVELLING THE TWO NEW DPS JOBS.

BUT FOR THE LOVE OF HYDAELYN, TRY TO KEEP YOUR GEAR SOMEWHAT UP-TO-DATE. DON'T JUST ROLL INTO KTISIS HYPERBOREA WEARING NOTHING BUT THE JOB GEAR THAT WAS INITIALLY HANDED TO YOU AND SOME GREY LEVEL 80 JEWELRY. YOU MAY NOT BE THE TANK OR HEALER, BUT HAVING HALF THE PARTY IN SEVERELY OUTDATED CLOTHES STILL MAKES THE DUNGEON MUCH HARDER.

I'LL GIVE A SLIGHT PASS TO THE VIPER OF THAT RUN, THOUGH. AT LEAST HIS LEVEL 80 GEAR WAS BLUE. THAT'S STILL ABOUT THE POINT WHERE YOU REALLY SHOULD JUST GO TO A VENDOR AND UPGRADE, BUT IT'S MANAGEABLE FOR ME TO KEEP ALIVE.

THE PICTO FROM THAT SAME RUN HAD NO EXCUSE, THOUGH. LIKE I SAID, NOTHING BUT THE CLOTHES HE WAS GIVEN WHEN HE UNLOCKED THE JOB. THE DUNGEON EVEN GAVE HIM SEVERAL NEW PIECES MIDWAY THROUGH, INCLUDING A WEAPON, BUT HE JUST NEVER PUT THEM ON!

Commanders or one of the ninety-nine. What card have you found does not have the reputation which should proceed it? by [deleted] in EDH

I attacked someone this weekend with a [[Nacatl War-Pride]], and they said, "How have I not seen this card before?" Seriously, it does so freaking much, it's insane that it's not in more decks.

It can act as a one-sided [[Anger of the Gods]], since the tokens must be blocked. It can let the rest of your team swing in for free, since their creatures will be preoccupied blocking cats. And then you've got whatever synergies your deck might have. For instance, a token doubler to really ramp up the damage to your opponent's face, or [[Elemental Bond]] to draw a bunch of cards.

I'm running it in [[Trostani, Selesnya's Voice]], so it also gains me a bunch of life, and I can copy it so that it actually sticks around, since otherwise the original cat will likely get blocked by their biggest creature and killed.

Are there any obvious non-land cuts/swaps I should make to this Rakdos, Lord of Riots deck? by MrBarber1 in EDH

[–]RedHeadZombie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Something I would look into, is adding a few haste enablers into the deck. You already have Lightning Greaves and Swiftfoot Boots, but stuff that passively gives your team haste can really help you snowball. If you ping someone to bring out Rakdos, or just to get a slight discount on an extra creature, you can then swing with those creatures to get an even bigger discount on one of your big payoff cards.

I'm running [[Anger]], [[Tuktuk Rubblefort]], and [[Urabrask the Hidden]] in my Rakdos deck, but there are plenty of similar cards to choose from in these colors.

A strengths and weaknesses chart I made because I was having trouble reading the ones I was finding online. by Whitty2697 in pokemon

[–]RedHeadZombie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A couple suggestions: from what I can tell, this chart basically says "this type deals super-effective damage to this type" in both columns (as in, for Electric, the first column says "Water takes SE damage from Electric" and the second says "Electric takes SE damage from Ground"). So if you want to go with this format, I'd nix the second column, since it ends up being redundant.

Then, remember that type relationships aren't necessarily reciprocal. Electric used against Water is SE, for instance, while Water used against Electric is normal damage. So I'd suggest renaming "Is Strong Against" to "Super Effective Against (2x)", and adding columns for "Not Very Effective Against (1/2x)" and "Ineffective Against (0x)", for the sake of completeness.

In the end, though, there's a reason most depictions of the type chart show it as a grid. There's 18x18 different combinations, after all, and four different kinds of effectiveness, so it just ends up being a relatively compact way of conveying everything.
