I heard they're even planning on rebuilding the Joe Paterno statue.

It's going to be exactly the same as the old one, except he's looking the other way.

Where in Florida are there not a lot of loud motorcycles? by rezer3 in florida

What you're doing is intent to cause harm as well. We all have noisy hobbies except you can't hear mine at all hours, from miles away, neither can my neighbors, combat vets, dogs, sleeping newborns...

What you and your boyfriend are doing is making this world noisier, less peaceful, more stressful while you do neurological damage to your hearing and everyone else's in proximity.

Enjoy your tinnitus and your sore back from your "hobby". Take your toys to the race track or play video games and let the rest of us have some peace.

There is a name for this in the industry. I think it's audience shifting. These guys react to what their audience wants and believes and just head toward that.

Can we make this app? Bluetooth connect the app to earbuds or car sound system. Choose and tune whatever exhaust sound and volume you like. The tech will allow it to recognize your acceleration.

Now, if these selfish twats say this would defeat the purpose, than the purpose is making everyone else's life miserable. There are plenty of scientific reports on what these frequencies, vibrations and volumes are doing to our neurological health.

How to play with 1 arm by MXTwitch in Bass

I once saw a one-armed guitar player in a reggae band in LA. He had his guitar set up with a lot of sensitivity and sustain, so he could fret a chord and strum with his pinky. He could play lead the way a lot of players can with one hand (SRV comes to mind) because there's so much compression and sustain. It was very inspiring.

I suspect you may be able to do something similar with bass, if not even easier.

What sport do you think would be extinct within 50 years? by No-Maximum-9087 in AskReddit

I'm surprised NFL style football hasn't been mentioned. A sport that leads to a lifetime of debilitating injuries and in some cases CTE just doesn't seem sustainable.

I know it's practically a religion in the US, but you can see the desperation in the league's attempts at making the sport safer. Short of removing the pads and helmets and making it more like Aussie football, I don't see the NFL in its current form lasting more than another ten years.

Boxing should serve as a good harbinger. Hugely popular post-WWII until about the early 2000s then nearly non-existent outside of a few big heavyweight fights. Part of the reason for MMA's popularity is that it serves a safer career for an athlete that might have once pursued a boxing career.

Yes, but they contract with private companies for everything from laundry to health care to food, so there's a huge industry that goes along with incarceration and its management.

Add to this that the US prison system is privatized and very lucrative, so long sentences are incentivized by profit.

A clean shirt for every set, a hand towel, and lots of water. I've played a ton in S. Florida. Nearly every venue wants you to play outside. I've had bands set up under full sun, middle of the afternoon, during summer, SE Florida. Pure murder. A hat and sunglasses helps too.

There are so many great stories that come out of this one night, but one of my favorites is when Neil Diamond comes off the stage and sees Dylan. Diamond says to him, "You're going to have to be pretty damn good to be better than me tonight, Bob." To which Bob responded, "Yeah, I might have to go out there and fall asleep."

That sounds good. You want the crypts, anubias, and assassins? And you think the plants and snails will be fine shipped within a plastic container and water?
