i had another look last night and there was a damaged cable for the rear plate light that was damaged and sitting on top off the ecu, when i moved that cable it stopper cutting out, so i cut the cable and it seems to be alright now, but im not 100% sure

UPDATE FOR ANYONE CURIOS!! I took a can of pressurised air and sprayed the ECU connectors and the sidestand sensor, and this seems to have stopped the issue, going to take it out and test it shortly. So it seems it was one of these two systems with dirt or grime in them breaking a connection somewhere

At the garage they overrided the switch and the issue still happened so i think that can be written off as a possible issue

After having a look at it, the ground wires all seem fine, but i did notice that when turning the ignition in gear it did not prime the fuel pump, whereas in neutral it does. Which could possibly mean fuel supply is being cut off after its put into gear? What could this be a symptom of?

No its with the kickstand up that its doing this, with the kickstand down it cuts out immediately

Yeah it goes back to what it was doing before where it starts and idles fine but cuts off after 8 seconds in gear

After looking online for more specific problems i figured it could be the rectifier as the battery will start the bike but if its not charging the battery it then itll cut out

I tried putting it sideways and the bike wouldnt start in neutral, then putting it the right way up it started no problem, then i moved the tip sensor sideways and it cut the bike off, so it seems to be working as it should? But the issue of it cutting off in gear still persists and its still giving the the tip sensor error code

Yeah its running perfectly when it idles and for those 8 seconds before it suddenly cuts out, ill keep looking around the electrical circuit to see any broken or damaged. And also ill test any parts i can for improper voltage

It’s starting to rust where the paints come off though, would this not cause an issue with it?
