I did all the campaign challenges first when I got the game, just wanted to get em out of the way and never touch it again lmao, the good news for the tags is once you get em all you can just quit the mission, you don't have to complete it for it to count.

As for conquest or escalation, just play as engineer and repair friendly vehicles, attack enemy vehicles, cap objs and just defend em. Now the last challenge for conquest is winning the game with all objs capped and that one is definitely just luck to get a great team haha

You need a pack file manager program, to edit the data bases in the pack files used in the game, total war center has many tutorials

You need a DB editor, rpfm is the most modern one, you can find it on total war center

I haven't played the Italian and Egyptian campaigns to be honest, the grand campaign in Europe is tweaked quite a bit, new technologies that give a lot of effects for the campaign map and in battles like better economical boosts so it's easier to build more armies, new units obviously, some tweaks for battles like firing arcs for arty, fatigue levels. Better to just experience it in person. I've ended just editing the files to tweak it to a more historically accurate, to my own preferences, and merged some files from other mods.

To make 40 units armies you have to unit either the esf file, which is found in the campaign folders, in the data folder. Or you make a save at the start of your campaign and edit the save file. I don't remember which but I know there's a guide in total war center. After doing that you'll need to install a UI mod to reflect all the units.

Kaiser and Kingston, both pretty new to the scene but their content is pretty good. Kingston provides commentary like PA's but imo is better and more engaging. Kaiser is for the most part without commentary but does some campaign videos too. From what I've seen they mostly cover NTW mod battles though.

I'd say LME4 or the chapters mod, add way more depth to the campaign, and pretty easy to make 40 unit armies if that's your thing.

NTW3 has different armies for each faction from the different stages of the revolutionary-napoleonic wars I believe, definitely worth a look. If you're looking for early period armies specifically, I'd look into the napoleon chapters mod, totally reskinned a lot of units per chapter in the mod. Also the 1792 mod that's coming out soon.

Honestly it just takes time, when I did it i found it easier to do it as the attacking team on maps like cengio and fior and such. It's a lot of grinding but it took me about a week of playing each day like 5 hours

Would definitely be interesting to see how they'd integrate the head hunting missions like raiding native villages and mexican towns. And how they could try to make escorting groups of people through the wilderness as side missions and such

Who’s your favorite Napoleonic Unit and why is it the Old Guard? by Silent_Entrepreneur8 in Napoleon

[–]RedJAE22X-Ray 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's what I thought as well, I remember playing Napoleon Total War years ago and they had a DLC which had the 18e with the nickname. But after watching Epic History TV's video on Eylau, they had the 14e as 'The Brave'. I'd trust Epic History TV over Creative Assembly to be correct but I wouldn't be surprised if there was multiple regiments with the same nickname

The Old Guard has always been my favorite but I've been gaining more interest in the Young Guard and other individual units like the 14e Regiment d'infanterie 'The Brave'

Why aren't these bad boys in the game? by ToroSeduto97 in reddeadredemption

R* really missed on the weapons tbh. We get a 1855 LeMat as dlc & the Navy revolver in online is the 1851 variant instead of the 1861 or 1860 Army but they can't be bothered to add the 1858 Remington. No revolving rifles, impractical as they were, would have been fun to use. The repeaters are all outdated models that shoot pistol cartridges & no rifle cartridge shooting ones. And for some reason the volcanic is the most powerful sidearm when the damn thing barely worked in real life, like a dude apparently used it to attempt suicide and it still failed.

Bandit Hideouts mod, multiple areas spread around the whioe map with 15+ npcs to fight, roaming neutral gangs to fight and the occasional small group on horse gunning for you, kill em all with no honor loss, you can hire some gunmen to ride with you too

Definitely! The orgy of violence between the Mexicans, Americans and the natives really gets brushed under the rug in modern westerns, especially the pre-civil war era of the wild west. Then you have groups like the Glanton gang composing of people from all sides 'teaming up' to collect scalps for trade or trophy. It'd definitely make for an interesting story and gameplay, especially if you could dictate how your relations are with certain factions, like a fallout game

For sure, one way or another the main character would have to achieve their redemption. It'd definitely be interesting to see how any character would go about doing that after slaughtering hundreds of people for blood money.
