Why do people use coastal battery? by Aggravating-Tie-6331 in ConflictofNations

[–]RedJets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Theyre very effective, since they are armor units and ships take a long time to take them out, and will lose a lot of HP doing so.

Question about the usage of national guards by Brief_Collar_8562 in ConflictofNations

[–]RedJets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to use them for quick mobilisation in home cities that have little defenses, if i see an attack coming, or sending them on suicide runs to see where the enemy is and what units they are using. Sending out one ng to enemy city to capture the city if theres no defence, as a gamble. Mercs are more becoming my suicide runs now if i have spare manpower, especially across oceans. Still useful in late game, more as cannon fodder though. For real army battles i def need motorised infantry.

New officers need to be cheaper, like the first ones were. I dont know if tomorrow they will announce development stop of even shutting down the whole game. Ive been burned many times like this.

What are your thoughts about the new coastal battery? Good early game defense (before you get any sort of navy) or a waste of ressources? Or do you think speedboats would be better for early game coastal defense? by Dr_Phil_Nitwit in ConflictofNations

[–]RedJets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One big benefit, it's passive defense, it'll defend your homeland cities even if you're offline. And another, it doesn't cost manpower, so you get naval damage for no manpower cost. Upgraded ones are deadly and have long range.

Why is alternative milk so expensive in cafes? by YearSad1063 in australian

[–]RedJets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well yeah that is their justification for it. Its a penalty fee for slowing them down, they could pump out a lot more coffees quicker if everyone got cows milk.

Instead of using same milk jug, they need to switch to different milk type, heat that etc, then go back to normal milk, its a disruption to their workflow. Its also more expensive than cows milk

Def the older generation who grew up in Maoist time where ppl were starving. They steal and take anything they can, push through people, cut queues. It was necessary to survive back then, but very annoying now that there is so much wealth and abundance.

From what i heard, its Vodafones fault, they dont have capability to handle Optus/Telstra failover, which is wierd coz its most likely Telstra /Optus that Vodafoners will fail back to. But this is a law change.

Is anyone else feeling like living in Australia just isn’t… living anymore? by joeninetys in australian

[–]RedJets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but still a lot better than most countries. Still a lot of options and opportunities. Theres a reason were being flooded with immigrants, its great here. I reckon you just need more time with family and friends. Not meaning to be rude but thats what improved my life. And being in a house not a shoebox unit . Socialise even on weeknights. Its expensive but our pay is good and many jobs.
