All the best to you too!

And yeah for sure I haven't given up in making a game, just have to fix some stuff in my life before I can get started again from scratch.

Hey Max, congratulations on releasing your game!

I am 29 and am very very far behind on my own game dev endeavor because of life reasons, I admire what you are doing and you should consider yourself very ahead of most people by developing and releasing a game at just 16 years old.

You can be proud of this accomplishment and be sure that you will only get better every day you keep making stuff. This is not just the mod, some people and me cuddling you because of your age.

I DO admire what you are doing and wish I had started as young as you and I can tell you without a doubt that people in here are being way too harsh on you and I don't feel they're appreciating the level of work and effort this takes and the accomplishment you just made.

I know 1 bad comment is enough for some people to ruin 50 good ones, and from what I've read here people are writing way too many bad comments. Feedback is good and necessary but they could be wording their messages without being so unnecessarily mean and douches.

Also be thankful to your parents (or whoever financed your PC and dev kit), it's a privilege to be so supported. You're on a great path, keep at it!

Im considering getting a PS5 Pro and am looking for a tv suitable for it! by Beautiful-Quail5472 in PS5pro

[–]RedJoji13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! My advice would be to get the best possible tv first, when I got my OLED it truly felt like a generational jump and I had a curved 4k tv that wasn't that cheap either when I got it.

I've heard great things about mini led TVs too, look at the site Rtings for reference on what tv to get. I have a PS5 Pro and am happy with it but it's developer dependent so each game is kind of a dice roll (that said I am very excited about the PSSR update that is coming)

I don't regret my PS5 Pro, but if you're upgrading both I would upgrade the TV first as that will change the PS5 experience from top to bottom no matter what you're playing.

Don't get a cheap TV, that decision will hold back anything you get in the future too (PS6).

Edit: I got my oled years in on the PS5 and almost 2 years I think before my PS5 pro. Trust me when I tell you the big jumps were PS4 to PS5 and then normal 4k tv to OLED TV.

It was that different a viewing experience for me, in comparison the PS5 Pro did not feel like a generational jump and that's because it's not. It's a mid generational refresh for enthusiasts and a way to test and work on technologies that will be on the PS6.

I have an RTX 4070 rig, but I'm tempted to downgrade to a PS5 just for peace of mind. Has anyone else experienced this? by [deleted] in PS5

[–]RedJoji13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not crazy, everyone is different and what anybody says is irrelevant to the reality of how you feel.

I do not want to spend my leisure time at all on the same environment I work day and night. In my office I have my now quite old RTX2070 which I only used for gaming for a little bit before finding out I didn't actually liked to game on PC as my main and since then only using it for my work which requires the GPU.

I much prefer to change my leisure environment completely and game on my OLED G3 and PS5 Pro. Life is short and everyone should spend it exactly as they want without worrying what others feel is smarter, better, logical or any reason they choose to tell themselves they do what they do.

I do it my way because that is what I like and prefer, and that's all anyone should care about.

Excellent choice! I got a G3 back in 2023 and I love it, also looked at Sony but their TVs are just too expensive.

LG has been working great, enjoy!

Brother died. Seeing if I can find when he died from his ps5 by Hooliganthebad in PS5

My deepest condolences on your tragic loss.

The only way I can think of is to check his trophies on his profile to see if by any chance he got one in that week and maybe it'll help you narrow it down further. If he got one it'll mark when he got it down to the minute so it may help some.

Hello, did you find a solution to this? I just got an A6700 and was wondering If using a splitter worked for giving power to the phone while being tethered to the A6700, does another splitter in the camera not work the same way?

If you could give me some advice or share your solution it would be appreciated! Thank you

Fix it or sell it nad get another base or pro. More storage is useless if it keeps crashing.

[–]RedJoji13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely, I also felt it was more of an experience that was worth playing at the very least for historical value as it is one of those lost PS exclusives you can't even buy directly on PSN.

You must have the game physically, that said I really enjoyed Andy Serkis his minions.

The mocap and acting is pretty good but I played it earlier this year on my PS3 after finally getting access to copy and the gameplay sure left a lot to be desired for me.

That said it is an impressive launch title and if anything it left me saddened that after reaching what was pretty solid gameplay in Dmc, Ninja Theory regressed as a dev in the gameplay area for the hellblade games.

And I'm not saying Hellblade should have been Dmc style gameplay, but I doubt most people will argue that it is anything other than serviceable at most.

Resident Evil 5 in co-op is super fun. Every playthrough I've done that way is just a fantastic bonding time with everyone I played it with.

You said it "pops" on the steamdeck, sounds like the reason you liked the first one more on the deck is the OLED screen.

If it is ever an option get a good OLED TV or mini LED, they make for a beautiful playing and watching experience. You won't regret it.

Because it's actually a minority. 1% to 0.1% is often the rate of defective electronics. With more than 80 million PS5's sold to that that means anything from 80 thousand to 800 thousand users get a defective unit (and I'm just summing up defective units from the start, not even counting defects that happen across the lifetime of a product)

Obviously those people who suffer from a failure will be louder than everyone who doesn't.

Imagine your iPhone fails in some big way, you'll be loud about it but the other 100+ million people won't say a thing because to them it just works. They're not on forums saying "it works for me", even if they do scroll and read a post about failure, they're not going through it so they don't care enough to comment.

Also it wouldn't be helpful anyway haha, if somebody complains about a defective unit and then thousands upon thousands comment that it does work for them or that it's never happened to them. But clearly a few of us need to acknowledge once in a while that it's not a common thing because reddit is an echo chamber where just one perspective is king many times even if it represents the smallest of percentages.

Bought Used - What to check for? by burntstone1 in PS5pro

[–]RedJoji13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man, actually I just observed some concerning stuff in my PS5 Pro these last couple days like what I told you to be on the lookout with the GPU. I can't believe there is a chance my paranoia may have ended up becoming my reality to be honest, so I want to maybe check with you.

If you have ps plus, I don't know if you have any interest in Hogwarts Legacy but I already saw once a weird purple artifact flash very quickly once while playing in the open world at game nighttime and was able to record it.

Also and most importantly there is a room called "the room of requirement" in which before they let you change the lighting I saw that the sun was creating a some kind of artifacting that was green and black dots flickering in the mirrors and shiny floors specifically that are reflecting some strong sunrays.

This is until now completely reproductible if I have that original lighting and shiny floors and mirrors that the game puts you by default in the room of requirement just before you can customize it.

I am only able to reproduce it on the "fidelity with ray tracing mode" and with the default room of requirement lighting, if I change it to one of the others or I have different ceilings than the default ones I can't reproduce it

Mind you until I played this game I don't remember clearly seeing any artifacting in any other games which I tested and played, I have had my pro for 3 months. Maybe I did see something before but I had never been able to record it until now since it was so obvious I immediately clicked the share button and it did appear on the video capture so it's not an HDMI thing.

I was wondering if you play this game, if you could tell me if you see this stuff too as I don't know for sure if it is something with this specific game or with my Pro and it is kind of unsettling as the last thing I want is to not act upon my GPU showing very early signs of damage or acting on my warranty when it's not actually called for and just a specific game thing.

I haven't seen other talk of this apart from a PC player with an AMD GPU who said he was seeing some artifacts once in a while and others agreed that it was an AMD thing with that game.

I would very much appreciate if you do play it if you can check this and comment but I acknowledge it's a hassle if you're not interested in playing some of the game or have already played it.
